I don't think they can make that discount big enough to justify adding a supercharger... :annoyed:

Got the rack installed today! :) I couldn't be happier with the quality or looks of the rack. The instructions weren't the best but it wasn't too difficult of an install. Did it by myself in my garage in about 1.5 hours. My only real complaint with the rack is how bad it whistles going down the road. It's not unbearable but I will be looking at trying to make it quieter. (Possibly something to do with the wind splittler.) I do have a sunroof and there is no way I could ride down the highway with it open. Not that big of an issue but worth noting.

NOTE: I bought a 22mm punch off of Amazon for the install. If anyone wants to throw me some cash via PayPal I'd be happy to ship it to you. I believe I paid $18 for it. If someone wants to pay that, I'll eat the shipping fees no problem and have it out Monday.

I can't wait to get mine installed! I'm ordering the remaining slats to make it a complete platform! You could try putting painters tape on certain parts of the rack to find the source of the whistle and access how you could eliminate the whistle! That's how we addressed exterior noise issues when I worked at Audi.

Haha thank you. That's exactly my plan. Tape and more tape. Already out a couple pieces on and plan on trying it out on my trip to town after while for the Buckeye game :) thanks for the advice! I appreciate it greatly.

By looking at how the rack goes together I would put painters tape over the gaps where the curved end caps are attached to the tray.

Deal! Although I can't even imagine letting you pay for it since you set all this up. I'll message you and we will get it sorted out. It truly made the install a BREEZE. 3 good whacks with a hammer and the holes were perfect.

It came with one but the way it is up against the rack it has extremely small slits that allow the slightest amount of air/light through. Hoping it's something like that making the noise and not one of the slats.(as they have plenty of places for air to cause noise in the design)

How many extra slats did you need to make it solid across the top?

Which bolts are used to secure the rails to the top of the cab, the M6X35?

They are the long skinny ones in the pack. Should be 10 of them. Only 8 bolts attach the rack basket to the rails and they are shorter and fatter
