Knife won't work. It's all metal. I tried using a pinch to move it and it wouldn't budge. I emailed front runner so I will see what they say.

I ended up using a drimmel with the sanding tip. The rack touched the roof like a previous members so I made a trip to the hardware store and bought some longer bolts and some washers to shim the rack up and away from the roof. I only had enough time to mount the passenger side rail. I will do the drivers side rail tomorrow and then test for water leaks before putting the tray on maybe next weekend if I can wait...

Finished the install! I think the hardest part about it was my ocdness, making sure everything was even etc... The front of the tray still needs a little tweaking side to side but it's good for now! Fingers crossed there is no considerable wind noise!

I ordered 6 extra. It was kind of a bitch lining the side frame rails up with the extra slats..

Platform look is a really mean look, Kinda wish I ordered a few extra slats.
I just ordered (black friday) shorter feet mounts to get canopy rack in line. Didn't end up needing the tall one despite advice from front runner. oh well. still love them.

I had this same issue and I ended up taking it in to the dealer. I told them that this is more than likely not an isolated issue and that there will be more folks complaining about this as time goes on. 3rd gens were only out a couple of months so this was the first the dealer had heard of this. They had to dremel both forward most holes on each side to line up.

I like be the rack thus far! Just drove the truck for the first time after install this morning and there is some added wind noise and slight whistle, no big deal. I just need to get the bottle opener to work since there is not enough clearance between the back window where I mounted it to correctly place a bottle to use the opener. I may just bend the bottle opener tab slightly so it kicks out.

I dremeled the holes! Didn't want to but I had no choice. The truck is a lease and I may upgrade to a Trd at a later time so I'm not worried too much at this point.

Yeah, I got the opener as well. Angle is off a tad. Spills the beer a bit when opening but meh. Cool little detail.

I just removed my opener and put it in a bench vise with cardboard between the vise and bracket. Then I used a pry bar with a rag between the pry bar and the bracket and bent the bracket out slightly. Mounted it to the rack again and now it works perfectly!
