I trust that he’s just busy cranking them out and shipping as he finishes building. I don’t mind the wait at all since I know he’s a one man show.

Mine was delivered yesterday evening, but I haven't opened the box yet. Told my wife it was parts to fix the air compressor that was screwing up on us the last time we went out. Really it's the switch that went bad, so that was an excuse lol.

Drz 400. Just picked it up a couple weeks ago to get off the street and back into the dirt for the first time since I was a kid.

Very cool, kudos man! 400 cc is a decent size, even for me. I don't see a tag on it. You gonna ride any street with it? I still have my license. I definitely want another bike. Dual Sport. I grew up riding dirt. I'm not a lightweight dude so I'm thinking 600cc or larger would be the sweet spot for me. I think it would be cool to go wheeling with a group but not have to be in the truck.

bike > truck, more nimble, cheaper mods, cheaper to fix, cheaper to keep on the road, more challenging, more smiles per gallon.

I agree. Except......broken arm, broken hip, broken leg :rofl::rofl:and that's just falling off trying to get on.

At my age I'd have to just try to have some sense is all.

Nope it's plated and completely legal. From what I have seen in Jersey you need road to connect the trails, and even most of the trails are legal with a registered and insured bike. Maybe DR650? Though honestly I think you would be surprised at the torque the 400 has.

I know the 400 would be more than enough. I'm sure a 250 would be more fun than I deserve. I would just like to be sure that if the wife ever wanted to get on with me to run into town for a quick errand we could.

Having the extra power in the woods or on trails would just ensure I could get myself out of any trouble when I get into it. Notice I said "when I" I generally have the inability to act my age.

When the time comes I will try for something higher end and sophisticated like this

    https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2005-BMW-F-650-GS-Dakar-5013991257

    Then look at similar bikes

    https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2012-Suzuki-DR-650SE-5013994226

    https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2007-Husqvarna-TE-610-5013861295

Working my way down to whatever I can afford

    https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/2010-Kawasaki-KLR-650-5013954023

My ultimate goal is to convert a open style utility trailer into a overland trailer. I want room for a bike on one side, with a camp kitchen on the other side, and a RTT up top. I may even install a small atv winch to pull the bike up into it backwards. That way I can have it as close to the side as possible without the handlebars making contact with the RTT supports to utilize a smaller footprint sized trailer. It will also allow me to build the camp kitchen to the depth required for things like a larger cooktop pop-out, etc.

Is anyone getting shipping notifications from Wilsons Sporting Goods? I think Al Qaeda finally found me. Neither of us ordered any type of sporting goods but something is coming.

Yes, I did too! I was getting emails from UPS saying I had the actual package coming and one coming from Wilson. When I looked closely they had the same tracking number. I even asked my wife if she ordered something from Wilson. She said no so I thought my 10 year old figured out a way to order a basketball or something.

Just thought of this... I don't know if Tyler's day job is at Wilson and he took the product to work to ship or something. Maybe that would explain it.
