    Yes sir
Like I said, I think redline knows how their product functions best. I doubt they just slapped some parts together and made a gas strut for the hood of a vehicle without testing and developing a model of their product and understanding how it will function best along with how its life can be prolonged (i.e. having oil properly lubricating the seal and shaft...)

As I was installing mine today, I was wondering the same thing: why is the larger part up top? I said to myself, if the directions say the fat part on top, then thats gotta be right, they made the things...glad I didnt mess with it!

Also, looks and functions great! If anyone has fiberglass, you're most likely going to have to cut a notch about 3 inches long and roughly 1.5 inches "deep" for the mount to sit flush against the metal (I didnt really measure how much I cut, those are just guesstimations based on memory). After that slight hiccup, no issues at all, directions were straight forward, thanks Redline

I would like the Plus kit (2015 TRD Pro DCSB). Any difference in the kits for the sport hoods vs the standard hoods? The sport hood is a heavy sucker for us old folks!

Looks like I'll have to dig out my PR Gun from my Hobie Cat Days.....that thing does the big SS Rivets! OK, you go through a few sets of Jaws, but they should work great for this!
