    going to be fun!
I always put my finger through the grill to open the hood is way easier than getting my fingers in between the hood and top of the grill....

Can someone take some measurements of:
    a) diameter of the tube
    b) roughly how far into the engine bay the tube sticks from the engine bay wall when closed
    c) roughly how from from the firewall the top connection sits when closed.

I have a compressor installed on the one side and am worried that the struts may interfere with the compressor.

    Thanks

Sounds good. Just waiting for @Sommer to reply see if he's by chance near us. Any other Canadians that are viewing the thread and happen to be near the Regina, SK area feel free to shoot me a PM if you want in on this and want to cut the shipping costs.

So would any rivet gun work with the supplied rivets? I never used a rivet gun before...I bought one, but just wanted to make sure before I start to drill into the hood.

Can you install these without notching out a section for the bottom bracket? I'm not too keen on doing that.

you didn't "exercise" the struts before mounting them on the hood(or whatever the instructions said to do). Open and close it about half a dozen times after install and they should even out as long as you measured and installed them evenly. You don't need to latch it, just go through the full range of travel to charge the cylinders
Have no idea what "notch" you are referring too? it mounts on the inside of fender edge

^^ I would also avoid "testing" the struts by using just one on the hood. It will hold it, but if you install just one side and open and close the hood, it'll make what IPNPULZ experiencing worse for a while would be my guess. make sure you put both on before trying them

Installation was a breeze. A second set of hands was helpful, but not necessary. Hood goes up and down like it came that way from the factory. Thanks again Ramon and redline!

No more kick stand for the hood. Opening and closing is a breeze.

What was wrong with the Stanley rivet gun? The lowes one looks like the any other standard rivet gun.

I installed mine today and bought the Stanley rivet gun on Saturday. Was able to install everything and did not have any issues with the gun, especially for first time use.
