Trust me, NOBODY enjoys drilling holes in a perfectly good truck but this is one of those times where you are glad you did. Aside from following the easy to read bulletproof instructions I suggest you go down to the hardware store and grab a roll of 1.5" or 2" wide blue painters tape to mark the holes and mask off paint to protect the surrounding areas. Take your time, don't rush and make sure all your tools are laid out. Use a towel or bath mat to protect your fender if you don't already own a fender cover. Also a nice small towel on top of your air cleaner assembly will make it easier to grab the parts and tools while you're working. All in all it took me 1.5 hours from start to finish. That means leaving my couch, grabbing my tools, doing the install, cleaning up and plopping back down on the couch in time to finish watching my ball game.

Yea it is extremely easy. Haven't used my rivet gun forever, but like others, measure twice to make sure its all good. Don't forget to wrap some tape around your bit so you don't drill thru your hood. 20150815_140106.jpg

You got that right. I might later on replace the self tapping screws with rivets too. They seem to have a tighter fit and like you said, are beefy!

I'll see your tape and raise you a naked drill bit. Yes that exactly what I did. This technique works FLAWLESSLY for 5'11" men for sure. All I did was drill with my elbow on the battery and fender on the drivers side and fender and radiator overflow on the passenger side. That way you limit the extension of the drill and could only pierce the outer skin if you removed your elbows or if the hood miraculously collapsed on the rod. You literally are applying enough pressure to move the bit 1/4"! Easy peasy.

Hmm. Trying to order right now and it does not let me order without selecting shipping. I am not even in Canadia.
