Let others test it out but I already have the ucon. Also I dont think ovtune has a gaurdian mode of any sort. When my fuel pump was shitting the bed a month or so ago, gaurdian mode on the ucon kicked in because of fuel cuts.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
Wait a minute, wanna know the same... I was really leaning towards the Ucon, looking to make a purchase soon. Is there something you really don't like about it? Some reason to stay away from it? Is there something else much better, that is still plug and play, where as other options are bare and need complete setup/tuning/dyno time?

Hope you guys can provide some clarity for these things I don't have the full picture of yet

Do some research and decide. There is alot of ucon info out there, the ovtune is extremely new.

Ucon had its annoyances but I worked through them and my truck is running just like a song. Not exactly ucons fault either

GT7, I’m glad to hear that. I don’t want to jinx it, however has it’s been good to go the last few weeks?

Thanks for the reply, I’ll cut out one round of email by including a picture of the pulleys when I shoot them an email.

Just spoke with Josh from pulley boys. They only have 2.7 ALL ENGRAVED IN STOCK!!! he suggest scuffing it off with sandpaper if its a big deal to you or emmisions is your worry. Here in Florida no emissions sooo F it im keeping it. Goodluck

Yup, Josh told me that I can sand it off or send it back. And that it has never been an issue before.

I purchased a 2.7 kit and got the engraved pulley. I don't think I'm going to mess with it because CARB.

If someone wants to buy my quikchange pulley kit, PM me.

I'll post to FS soon too....and if no interest, I plan to return it.

To my guys with the engraving issues, who also are in Cali (or even not). I have another source for pulley's. These are all blanks but they come in Silver. No anodizing.

They are also really cheap to obtain. Like stupid cheap and they will work with the current pulleyboys adapters. Message me if you want to go that route.

If you got an engraved pulley and don’t want it engraved, I suggest we all still email them, so they can see how bad of a product choice this is. I’ll gladly wait for new stock of pulleys without engraving if that were an option as I’m in no rush.

Ya. The current garage hog is quite a bit of daunting fun. I hope to have it wrapped by New Years. But, I’ve met me... will likely be a bit longer.

Zl1 ya say eh? White one? 6k miles?
I haven’t driven it. But a couple of buddies did. They say it’s pretty fuckin wild.6B36C9D7-F492-46F3-8DDA-703D53187ABD.jpg

Mine was a '14, put 25k hard miles on it since February last year. The horsepower was no joke and definitely gonna have to do some work on the BMW. Pulls nicely but nothing compared to the ZL1. Plus I miss audible force fed noises. Putting the Taco back together this weekend with the new pulley so I can hear some noises again.
