I ended up doing the same stuff. Good arm workout today. Totally had to destroy the urd pulley to remove it as the thing bent so easily under the strain of the puller. Threw on the 2.5 pulley and a shorter belt.

Noticed that the new pulley didn't seem to line up as nicely as the old one did with the idler pulleys so ended up using washers to space them out a bit so things line up better. Don't know if it's the best solution or if it would be better to try to push the pulley a little further up the shaft. IMG_20171130_144015.jpg

My afr fuel is running very rich (with the bully dog tune and the FPR mod) but have a brand new afe intake to install tomorrow and hopefully reign things in a bit. Otherwise I'll have to undo the FPR.

Exactly as i did but went 2.7 for now will try 2.6 after dyno runs. Urd pulley came off with no issues. Transmission valve body kit coming tommorow. Hope to put more power to the ground.

I added a 3 washers behind the idler mounting plate and two washers behind the two pulleys to bump everything out about 3/16". My belt was overhanging my non ribbed idler by around an 1/8"

The pic was a before washer pic. Just not sure if I'd prefer to jam the charger pulley a little further on the shaft and remove the washers I put in as a quick fix. My daily driver and had to pick up the kiddo so I made things work for now and no belts jumped off.

I have talked about spacing out the idler pulley's to get everything a bit more centered by 1/8" previously. In my Qwikchange pulley thread.

The only one I needed to space out was the smooth idler pulley. Not the ribbed one.

I had to space both pulleys out.

Haven't made any changes. Gonna add the intake in a bit and then I suspect I'll have to undo the FPR mod. Truck rips now though:thumbsup:

I thought much of the same, but the truck seemed to like running with a presence of more fuel rather than less.

Undid the FPR and its definitely better. Around 10.6 WOT. Gonna get on board with the next OVtune self tune kit when they're available and see where that gets me.

Lots of donkeys on the road today so was hard to let her rip but she feels good.

I can't leave anything well enough alone
This 10.6 WOT was with a 2.5 pulley, and a bully dog tune that came with your magnusson kit? Is that correct? When you had the FPR mod it was even richer? Do you have the injectors that came with the kit or even larger ones? Stock pump or upgraded, and if so to which one? Any other changes that impact AFR? Are you using the bully dog straight up, or did you go to the dealership and ask them to flash to TRD (and they say they can't it already has it, yet it runs better afterward)?

What I am trying to figure out is how much margin there is on the injector duty cycle with smaller than 2.8 pulleys, stock supercharger injectors with the upgraded URD fuel pump. I'm not sure which tune I will go with yet, want to get the UCON and be done with it. Trying to stay away from bully dog all together, but looks like many are having good success with the TRD tune. OV tune is interesting, need to read into it more, but generally cautious and pessimistic of anything that is 'new'. I have an '05 if that matters in drawing comparisons... Ucon has been out for a long time.

    My shit is all stock.
So, would you say that the new Pulley Boys hub should be pressed on to the shaft about 1/8” past the tip ?
I’m thinking that spacing out the idlers is not really a good solution as we’re still mis-aligned with the crank pulley.

I will compare the new PulleyBoys setup with the new URD pulley I bought when I get home tonight. I should be able to juxtapose them and determine pretty much exactly where everything needs to be.

The Pulleyboys hub adapter needs to be pressed in flush with the shaft. If you look at the hub adapter and the shaft when they are installed the surface should appear like a straight clean line.

The only reason I spaced out my smooth idler was because I didnt like that the belt was riding at the edge of the idler. It was an insurance policy, nothing more nothing less.

Yup, bully dog tune which I want to get rid of. Apparently have to send ECU in to unlock it for OVtune. 2.5 puppy and the wallbro hp fuel pump. The injectors that came with the supercharger. 10.6 was without FPR mod. With FPR my wideband couldn't measure as it went out of range of the guage.

Injectors are good to multiple horsepower ranges depending on the fuel pressure given to them.

The way the fuel pressure regulator is hooked up in OE configuration, there is zero vacuum going to it. It is not the proper way to be hooked up. Now if you are running too rich with the fpr being boost referenced hooked up you need to be tuned. No other way around it.
