Sounds like you were tuned to be stupid rich with the TRD tune in the first place if you are seeing 10.6 on a 2.5 without the fpr mod hooked up.

Flush with the shaft definitely isn’t gonna work.

So, I’m off to the hardware store to find an appropriate washer to modify the press tool.

I will be doing that as well. Wasn't really liking the idea of spacing out the pulleys.

Found the perfect washer at the local True Value. My plan is to weld it to one of the washers from the press tool kit. That’ll keep everything nice and centered when we’re shoving that hub onto the shaft.

Looks like the depth that everyone has been cutting the snout to will be sufficient.

Test fit of the puller. Looks good. Washer at the tip will be nixed in lieu of the Allen bolt in the press kit. I had already found an appropriate bolt for that in my spare hardware bin. Then I noticed there was a better one in the kit.

Got two trucks done today. @GT7 and mine. Spacer washer added to the press tool worked perfectly. Everything lines up perfectly. No need to space out the idlers. And we’re still aligned with the crankshaft pulley.

I used a cordless drill in low gear to spin the snout cutting tool. Took about 20 minutes or so per truck. I can’t imagine how much of a pain it would be to do it cranking by hand. We took a video, but, I can’t seem to post it here. I’ll post it up on Instagram if y’all wanna see.

I buggered one of the allen bolts when I was doing final assembly. I’m blaming the coffee for that. I’ll get another one from Pulley Boys and replace it when I go to the 2.5” pulley.

I threw the snout on the mill on Saturday and finally machined it down using a boring head. I pressed the shaft back in along with a new seal (mine was leaking so had to tear the supercharger unit down) then was going to press on the new hub but wanted to check the depth differences first. I brought the pulleys to work this morning, and using an optical comparator and gauge blocks I found the following: the 2.8 pulley needs to be pressed in .159" further and the 2.6 pulley needs .167". At first I first figured the design on the hub was flawed but now it seems like the quality control for the pulleys themselves isn't all there either.
