What are you guys talking about trimming the snout by hand? You mean physically using a file or dremel or something to remove material from the snout and not using the cutter made for it?

I believe so, I refuse to pay for the tool since I have everything I could possibly need to make it at home. I just wanted to see if anyone knew the diameter the snout gets shaved to so I can make the tool accordingly. I used to be a machinist/tool maker before moving to CAD design so it's not rocket science for me. Draw it up on the computer, make prints, and get to working on the lathe and mill.

    My shit is all stock.
I’ve only had the supercharger for about 18 months. But, since I’m in PHX. My thinking is: Run the smaller pulley in the cooler months and the larger pulley in the hotter months. Easy to swap out with this setup. I actually bought the 2.85” pulley from Gadget. It’s sitting in a cabinet in my garage. I never installed it because I was hoping something like this would come down the pike.

Anyone wanna buy a URD pulley? It’s brand spankin new.

Hahaha... No file or dremel lol. APR started the first legit stealth pulleys little over 10 years ago and they looked identical to the factory TRD pulley but just smaller. APR made the first 2.85 and 2.7 stealth pulleys and a few 2.6 pulleys too. So everyone back then took their blowers off and got them cut with CNC machines to fit properly like APR recommended. Then Out of the blue this guy Jap on XRU from Australia comes along and says you don’t need a CNC machine check out this hand held snout cutter on zzperformance and shaves his blower down. Everyone was dumbfounded including URD

Typical Yota owners always missing the boat on mods that have been around for a while now and overdoing things in a different manner (typically more complicated than what it needs to be).

In hindsight yeah From a forum standpoint of providing information xrunners started modding from day one and paved the way on what the 1gr-fe and TRD blower was/is capable of. To be fair I think APR gave much needed research and design too. TW masses are finally taking advantage of this info and modding things right the first time. Plus, people like you finding new things that can be modded.

I'm just glad I could contribute some of that knowledge and break the "semi monopoly" on supercharger pulley's for the rest of the guys here.

I get pissed off when I hear the words, "This is the ONLY way it can be done" and "We are the only ones capable of doing this for you."

Suppose to have got the pulley today. But requires a signature. My wife was home and mail lady never even knocked on the door.

As we all know, it was a performance oriented forum. Their beliefs were what can we do and how far can we push it. Whereas the Tacoma World mass had a strong stigma against any performance upgrades, for ages.

Took A LOT of infuencing to and proof to alter that psychology, over here. It has though, and it kindling is starting to burn strong.
