Seems like these could be beefed even more by lengthening the corner piece that mounts behind the tail light and having it tie in a greater vertical extent along the flat plate both on the inner portion of the wheel well and the metal bed stay.

Ya know, this is why I'm anxious to see behind the tail light area already

Such as my question about thickness used, I bet once I'm in there I can better gauge (pun intended) how thick something really needs to be to provide support

But I like the ideas, this only helps everyone

3/16” is more than enough for a nerd with a Tacoma.

As an internal stiffener though, think it'd be overkill?

Another member posted a picture of his calipers and the 4WP set actually came in at thinner than 3/16" (and that's with powder coat)

    There's a possibility it's 1/8" even

Also, here's that bottle opener some of y'all want :D

    Screenshot 2024-07-10 141627.png

Tie down is angled downward as most times I expect something to be tied down towards the bed? Otherwise I can orient toward the cab.

There was a YT channel that was trying out different shocks blind on the 3g taco, and just bombing down an off-road section.

The bed by the tailgate flops around so much in the video.... And it had no topper or anything.

    This and that
I could care less about a bottle opener, they are everywhere and just about anything can be used anyways.

I use ratchet straps, cinch straps, and blue steel (cali truck rope) to hold things down.

still in for one wearing the f bomb, bottle opener or not.

I’m in. F bomb and all. Thanks for the work on this. Let us know where to sling the money bomb for the f bomb.

I'm assuming the tailpart sticks out?

That would really suck to catch your arm or leg on

I believe that is towards the cab, so less likely to be caught

It would actually stick out quite a bit more or less, although this is all just for fulfilling curiosity

Actual application would dictate that the rear portion of the F bomb would be the part butted up against the bed

The portion that extends over would be the bottle opener and/or tie down which would point towards the cab and not out towards the tailgate

    Example?

Being that it's CNC plasma and not laser, details will have to be kept to a minimum based on size

    But I can always try
