I did it on my 2012 Tacoma last week, the hole on the passenger side didn’t align just a hair making the clip for the wire will not get in but nothing a zip tie can not hold in place. I don’t care about the hole alignment as long it hold my bed together and It’s way better than my old one, more cleaner. Thank you for making this happen @Kwikvette.

    Absolutely!

You're our first 2nd Gen install right? Glad it worked out and also happy to hear that the large hole isn't bothering anyone as much as it did me

Of course no one else would see it anyway after it's installed.

I know you're not taking orders right now, but if you are have a list for future batches, I am interested. Also, I live in Southern California, but I have family just north of you, so I could pass by for a model install if you still need it.

To add, anyone buying plain brackets I have two sets of tie down rings if anyone wants a set.

    $5 per set of two.

    20240818_180407.jpg

I bought them as a 4-pack from Amazon just to see if they'll "fit" and they do so for anyone that doesn't want to get stuck with a 4 pack you can get 2 with your set.

    Let's finish these orders first!

But to answer your question, if you were to swing by I'd be happy to expedite making a set for ya - making one set doesn't take very long, it's when I'm making a batch that it takes longer (and a lot more space).

I won't really need a model truck anymore with plenty of people already having confirmed that these work. But if you need help installing a set, I can definitely lend a hand and my tools.

As for 'batches' after the fact, I have considered simply making and keeping a few sets on hand or just making them per order.

    You're good!

I just wanted to be ahead of everything in making and sure there are/were no issues that's all.

One big plus to the install, unlike the electrical, sound, suspension mods I have done…

If you need to stop the install for something with higher priority (like a run to the trash dump before it closes, get called in to work, forgotten dinner with the S/O, etc) There are tons of stopping points in the process that only require a 60 second re-mount of a tail light to make the truck safe/legal to use.

The large hole for wire harness does not need to be perfect by any means.

    They're both sold sorry!

But fortunately they appear at the bottom of this thread as products discussed; you'll just end up with two extras.

Had you down for plain, so tie downs instead got it.
