Go ahead and pick a tube up to have on hand. It's like $7 and you'll be able to experiment with what it can do/what it's like before the next time you need to use it for something.

I feel like the world's biggest shill for this stuff, but I get no money off it, and use it at least once a month on *something*

Recently, part of my faucet broke, I used e6000 and some sewing thread (rebar) to secure it back together until I could get a new one. That was months ago.

My laundry basket handles broke (to much weight) e6000 and sewing thread, its lasted **years** And if I ever want to take it off, pliers and a little back into it, it'll pull off in one piece CLEAN like a rubber band.

    Will do.

I would expect them to have it at Home Depot, seems to be a common item.

Later today I'll be making the second drain, then gluing up the PVC pipe and see about ordering a transfer pump.

Just needs to be 110v, use common in/out (not the garden hose type), and preferably an on/off switch.

    Short version - still inop.

Long version - I finished plumbing the rest of the drain this last Friday.

    20241005_152705.jpg

    20241005_152717.jpg

My replacement Z axis assembly also arrived Friday.

    20241004_141902.jpg

New parts began to take place in lieu of old ones.

    20241004_152357.jpg

The actual torch height control assembly arrived broken.

    20241004_154325.jpg

It was after hours so all I could do is send an email asking -

"Received the entire new Z axis assembly. The "tab" holding the small spring for the IHS part of the assembly was found broken inside the bubble wrap.

Pictures included are the new Z axis assembly displaying the void, and my current old one displaying the tab still intact. And lastly, the piece in my hand was found in the bubble wrap.

Was wondering if you guys want me to utilize the parts from the new Z axis and transfer to my old or? I'm good with any method suggested."

This morning I received this response -

    "Hey Nelson!

Here's what I'm going to do. I'll send one just in case to you. If you can use the old parts and see if you install them. The little spring is super glued just wanted to let you know about that. Let me know how everything goes. I'll be here to help."

So, I will look into taking apart the new assembly and seeing what I could install on my old assembly to get it going. Although I hear it's a real pain to dismantle and get back together again so worst case, I have a new one being shipped out soon.

I’d just wait. I know it’s annoying, but disassemble/reassemble almost always is something better done when there’s no pressure to complete. Glad to hear you’re plumbed up, minus the pump. Best I’ve seen is ~$45-55 but good GPM for 110v.

Oh pump can be purchased anytime, no rush.

It's the Z axis assembly I didn't want to take apart and put together since the eccentric bearings need to be perfectly aligned to ensure it's square with itself. But, we'll see how it goes tomorrow!

Otherwise I would expect the new Z axis assembly to arrive either by Friday or Monday - Tuesday.

Think I'd only disagree on one thing with you though, plenty of pressure

I have your set to modify (and one set to make that's paid up), as well as 20+ other members waiting, and the local auto shop needs their motor mounts which I don't have any pre-made.

I meant messing with the damaged/old assembly… better when no pressure to complete.
I know the backlog and anxiety is starting to build. I’m tied up, so no worries here.

I get anxiety just from having something go down and trying to diagnose/repair it, whether it was a motherboard in one of my computers or something else. I don't like when something I have isn't working like it's supposed to.

I'm very methodical and like to ensure everything is set and done right, and expect things to work as needed.

    ADHD knows no bounds.

    20241008_081403.jpg

Little one woke up so had to move work into the kitchen while he snacked.

Old one on the left, new one on the right.

    20241008_103423.jpg

I had trouble with the coupler on my old setup seeing as how the socket head screws stripped up top, so I pulled the motor and lead screw assembly out.

    20241008_110206.jpg

All this to remove this broken part from the new assembly, and replace it with the fully intact part off the old assembly.

    20241008_112207.jpg

    Back together again.

    20241008_110042.jpg

    And installed!

    20241008_111156.jpg

Boring stuff I know, and completely irrelevant to the stiffeners offered in this thread. But just showcasing how easily it is to go "down" when something isn't working the way it's supposed to.

Hoping to wire things up this evening and see about test firing some cuts in the next few days.

Hey Quinton, I just need to finish knocking out the last remaining sets for those listed. My equipment was down for a month.

But after that there is no list. I will just make sets for regular sale.

There are some +30 people that are waiting until I make them available and it'll be first come first serve.
