I’m in for the steering slide rack with heimed tie rods and the double sheer for the spindle.

I would like to know more about the +2 control arms. Such as: Ball Joints or Uni-balls, Corrected to add additional caster, how compatible are they with the LCA mount assy., compatibility with say Camburg spindles, single shock w/bump or bypass, etc.

If you are being sarcastic I am fine with that. If not I will explain. On jdfabrication.com they list a 2" over control arm but it shows no details. Of all the aftermarket MFG's from there web sites none of them show an entire system of what I would be after. I imagine talking with them directly may be better than just wed site info.. Not to keen on reinforced stock spindles. So what would I want? The LCA mount I can get behind, It addresses more than one issue. Two thumbs up. Then lets add UCA's, LCA's at 2" over stock (so I won't need to do fenders), fabricated spindles and axles that could do Dana 44 hubs and wheel bearings ( see Solo Motorsports except the 4.5" over stock length), solution for weakness with Rack (for use with 33-35" tires), I do understand how much abuse the driver tries to inflict is the biggest factor, a clean streamlined lightweight front bumper that can handle a winch without the fairlead pointing at the ground at frame height or just above. Then I would need to compare all this to possibly just going SAS. I would not want the weakest link in the system to be possibly the hardest component to deal with out on the trail (front diff). I am not saying the front diff would be the weakest link but being the only remaining stock component in the front drive train it may be. All of this is to help myself determine what is a reasonable expectations of how far to take a Tacoma with out being die hard set on the Tacoma. No matter how far I would go with suspension and drive train there is one thing that does bother me slightly. I do wish the windshield/A-pllar was a little more vertical and the door opening was a little more spacious.

    Mods? Yes, oh yes..
Why would their UCAs not be compatible be with the LCAs?

SAS/IFS...these are go fast and hard IFS parts. is that what you are after because SAS isn't that.

all of these are good improvements over stock and JD only does their stuff right. Not sure what you are asking,.all aftermarket parts generally fit to OEM dimensions. There's always a little thing here or there but it's usually minimal and not a big deal to suss out. If you want to buy a competitors products that's fine but when JD makes the same product it's not really appropriate to expect they know the compatibility with another product especially a competitors. That's your side to figure out. Hope this helps. I would really suggest reading up on long travel. It's not for everyone even though everyone likes the idea.

I agree. That is why I was asking/commenting about the +2 arms. There is just no info available on there web site for either of the two long travel kits.

You’re kinda getting in at the ground floor here. It’s still in development of sorts. There’s a lot of talk and pictures of the offering here in the last 80 some pages of the original thread. Looks to be an awesome kit and well worth a short wait. With the rate of development and release, you won’t be waiting long.

Let me take a stab at it:

The outer joint (spindle end) is a sealed uniball made by EMF. Fully rebuildable, and doesn't make noise like an exposed uniball. The inner (frame end) is either a bushing or a uniball with gaskets to protect it from road salt.

The LT arms (upper and lower) are correct for camber/caster (obviously you can't mix/match different upper and lower arms in an LT setup), and are compatible with the LCA Pivot kit for additional caster adjustment. Which also will help you clear 35s or 37s off the firewall.

The LT and Steering kits are compatible with aftermarket Spindles, assuming the aftermarket spindle is compatible with OEM control arms. With the one caveat that I don't know about lift spindles for a pre-runner. But that's a special case.

There is a provision on the LT LCA for a secondary shock and a hydro bump: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...vel-and-934-cv’s.626274/page-67#post-23172084

The "ultimate" kit would be: LCA Pivot/Mount kit; Steering reinforcement with heims and double shear; LT arms; 934 CV conversion; and a Camburg fully fabricated spindle.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Not sure if I missed anything this past week, been busy at work. Any updates to when we can pick up the LCA pivot mounts if we chose local pick up?

Shooting for Monday, will keep you updated the second I know.

As of now the laser cut cams are expected to be done Thursday... I have the subframes all welded, and hardware is all bagged up.

I'm pimping out this thread to the best of my abilities, just haven't pushed hard on advertising to the FJ crowd yet because I want to make sure everything works out like I'm thinking (hoping). I think there’s a number of folks that are waiting to see how the first group works out before committing. At some point you might have to set a deadline and see if we can make the last push.
