They should be in production and shipping soon I would guess. They recently got their shipment from laser cutting before the holidays.

Anyone know if this 2nd gen core support will work with the 3rd gen? I know they are different part #'s and headlights are differrent, but I am guessing if they bolt right up and fit the inner fenders perfectly (and the inner fenders fit 2nd and 3rd gens) then maybe? I'm not scared of a little modification to a new radiator core support either or potentially just attempting to fab a stronger one. My core support in my 3rd gen is toast and I have these inner fenders on order, and the 3rd gen core supports only come in pieces rather than a complete assembly like this 2nd gen support mentioned (and are significantly more pricey).

Don’t take my word as a for sure. But I’m doing a full 3rd gen conversion on my truck and the headlights, grill and all line up on a second gen support. So my assumption is yes, it will work.

I’m taking your word as a for sure and if it costs 100 bucks wasted it’s better than not trying considering the stupid money I was about to give to toyota parts and the headache it would be piecing everything together separately. Lol. Plus maybe it will help others in my situation down the road if it does work.

The sheet metal on this truck is an absolute joke. Pretty sure it’s 22 gauge. :frusty:

    Thanks dude!

Keep us posted! I’m pretty sure they are identical. Only part I question is the radiator mounts themselves. The rest should go just fine.

The good thing is that someone in this thread might be willing to buy it off you to do the core support at the same time with the fenders so you can recoup some money if it doesn't work out for you

Just a heads up guys the inner fenders have started shipping out. I’m currently working on some detailed instructions and let’s try to keep all questions and pics in the other JD thread.

So anyone with a 3rd gen install this? What intake are you running? I have looked at the UMP and it states it is up to 250hp and several on here state that it does not flow as much as the stock box. The 3rd gen supposedly gets “278 hp. Is there any other options? I am not looking at racing my truck but don’t want to starve it of air or lose any power if possible. If that makes sense. Thanks for your time and any help. Hope y’all are having a good week.

The 18” 4/4 UMP is PLENTY of airflow for a 3.5l engine
