Your order has been sitting here all week! Trucking companies are so difficult some times.

    I'm a little confused...

Installing sliders and I don't quite understand step 8 in the instructions. Actually steps 8-10 are confusing me, figure I'd tackle one of them at a time.

Step 8:Referencing Step 5 and Step 6, install on each side one 3/8-16 grade 8 nut with lock washer into the rectangular washer with bolt welded to it. To slip the washer up and in place to install the bolt, there is a rectangular cut out on the side of the cross member. You can get a finger in that area, or use a long screw driver to slide the washer up the the sloped face. The front flange may not look like it lines up perfectly, don't be alarmed. It may be offset depending on the transmission you have in your truck but one of the holes will line up with the cutout in the transmission cross member.

What exactly should the welded rectangular washer/bolt be bolting? I have it installed through the hole in the chassis (facing in) where I removed the tape. The slider bracket then apparently clamps that usher/boilt in place? And I'm supposed to bolt through a tiny slot in the crossmember? Wwhhhaaaaatt? Can anybody help explain or provide pictars?!

    A thing or two...
The washer/bolt pictured in Step 5, goes in the rectangular hole in the transmission crossmember (the lower hole circled in Step 6). The threads of the bolt stick out of the cross member and point at the ground. This will go through one of the four holes in the angled part of the front brace. The long arm washer/bolt goes through the hole with the sticker in Step 6. The washer/bolt feeds from inside the frame and goes through the upper hole in the front brace.

THANK YOU! I really appreciate the response- thanks for taking the time to explain. It makes a little more sense the way you describe it and how you specify which hole to use for which fastener, ect.

Anyway, wish I would have seen this sooner. I had to ask my wife to read the instructions and give me a hand. She totally pointed out what I was doing wrong pretty quickly and I moved forward. DOH! :D

No worries. I had to read the instructions a number of times, and I still had to wing it on a few things. It helped me to black out all the stuff that wasn't relevant to me.

So a bit of a bummer. Started installing my sliders and found out there was missing hardware. Luckily it was a few bolts and washers and not any of the machined parts.

What I'm missing are the two M10 x 30mm Grade 10.9 bolts that replace the carrier crossmember bolt that gets removed in step 1. Was a bit more of a bummer to be ready to start bolting stuff up and the first bolt I needed was missing.

Also missing two of the 1/2" Grade 8 washers. According to the parts list, I was supposed to receive 4 1/2" Grade 8 lock washers but I think these have been replaced with the 1/2" locking nuts and normal 1/2" flat washers. I have 2 of the 4 1/2" flat washers for the beam clamps.

Off the the hardware store I go tomorrow.

I understand this was a group buy and Mobtown was trying to get these sliders out to us as quick as they could but it still sucks to get everything lined up to find out I have to halt the installation because of missing hardware.

Email us at the website. We will ship you what you are missing immediately. You should be able to get them one without most of this hardware and then just quickly add the missing bolts when we ship them to you.

For the missing first bolt, just reuse the stock bolt. If fits, we just ship a new one for completeness.

You're not missing 2 1/2" washers, the two supplied are used with the 2 metric bolts that I forgot apparently. The lock washers were replaced with the nylon locking nuts. So it appears the only two bolts missing are the metric ones. Our instructions need a little updating. I'll work on them this weekend hopefully. I have a lot going on unfortunately that will keep me away from customer service. If you get stuck somewhere, just call me at 3022728729.

You guys are awesome. Sure it was a bummer missing some hardware but waking up to the updated instructions and a mobile number that helped me clarify things really makes up for this oversight. Kudos to you guys. Looks like I'm only missing the two m10 bolts. I'll reuse the stock one for now and will contact you through the website for the replacements.

    Have a great weekend!

Oh, and I was informed that no washers are used with the beam clamps. The picture in the manual still shows a washer being used but it is not needed now that a nylon nut is being used. It's just the bolt, beam clamp, and nylon nut for that step.

Hey mobtown, would you consider doing another group buy for those of us buying 2018 taco trucks?

We are finally getting caught up so running a GB to put us way behind again is probably not the best idea right now.
