looks like a decent product ... but am curious to anyone who bought the 150 .. why do you need 4000 amps? that's some serious power

there is no additional discount guys. 30% plus free shipping is the max, not many vendors do this high a discount on any item very often.

There is no way possible that 4000Amps can be achieved by any of these jump starters. The biggest dead ringer is the 8 AWG wires used to the clamps would melt almost immediately with 4000Amps of electricity running through them.

***These seem to be a great product; the company seems just a little crazy in the advertising and marketing department.

except no AWG is rated by ampacity, it's rated by voltage ...

Run 12 Volts at 4000 Amps through an 8 gauge wire and see how fast it turns into liquid.

    http://www.the12volt.com/info/recwirsz.asp

Per the above referenced chart for 8 gauge wire the max capacity at 12 volts is 100 Amps. 1/0 Gauge is only capable of 350Amps.

I would take anything you find on the internet with a grain of salt. The NEC for wiring changes every few years and gets updated. With that being said you can put 4000 amps through an 8 ga wire and it won't 'turn to liquid', wire size is irrelevant, it's the insulation on the wire where the amp capacity comes in to play. If anything will fail it will be one of the ends of the wiring, in this case either the tool or the clamp on the other end (which I'm sure both are rated for 4000 amps).

Btw I am a licensed industrial electrician with lots of years of experience.
