Yep, 31M with a Pelfreybilt battery cage. Little taller but heavy as hell

Thanks! :cheers:I couldn't figure out where exactly I wanted it, so I fabbed something up and decided to just relocate my spare. The plan is to have it close to my charge controller, solar panel, and inverter since they're all going to be in the back.

Yeah that will make it convenient and save you the hassle of having to run 2awg all the way to the back for all that. May have to look into that, I'm gonna do a dual and was thinking the left side of the engine bay but this may change that. Wonder how it'll work with a high clearance... If I ever manage to stay away from these GBs and save up :D

Just battled mine to get it into place without dropping the hitch. Im happy with the fit, now i just need to fab up some way to tie it down. I ratchet strapped it in place for the time being. I doubt this would work very well with a high clearance bumper, it sits about an half inch above where the bottom of the hitch is at it's lowest point.. And i know what you mean! these group buys have got to stop:fistbump:

That does fit up in there nicely, props on the idea and building the mount! May want to try the j-hook type clamp from the factory, would be simple and easy to make your own. And yeah I thought it would tuck up more in there but guess there isn't that much room, oh well, what's one more thing in the engine bay:notsure:

Got mine mounted for my trip then it'll be going in the engine bay.

Yeah, I think I could've fabbed it up to where it sat up higher, but then you would definitely have to drop the hitch/bumper to get the battery in there. Things were really tight as it was. Good tip on the j style tie down, ill definitely look into this.

The Pelfreybilt cage will work for you if you are willing to pay for it. It's stainless and while works in the factory location, the J-Hooks would work with your set-up perfectly.

This is quite interesting.. A bit pricey, but it would definitely work with my setup like you said. I'm probably going to build something because im cheap, but thanks for pointing this out! It has given me a couple ideas as to how I want to make mine

Glad to help. I am cheap too and if I hadn't won a cage several years ago I wouldn't now be buying a 31m. Then again I'm so cheap I waited for a group buy, and only after my battery dropped below 12v!

Driving the Wife's Kia Sorento... Battery is due in today!!

For those of you who have installed your battery, did you have an issues with the positive cable being extremely tight, specifically the cable running from the bottom of the fuse box to the prong? I was able to get my cable to reach, but it's super tight and am uncomfortable the cable has the potential to snap from the connections?

Yeah I think that's common. I installed mine with a cable extension kit and new terminals that I got from off grid engineering.

Well, at least it's not just me, which makes me feel a little bit better. Just got on Off Grids website and didn't see the cable extension kit. Will try sending them an email to see if they still sell it. Thanks for the tip.
