I checked on this via email a couple days ago. Asked if the 27F's were still on schedule to ship 18th. Response was "Yes sir". So keeping my fingers crossed that I get some kind of tracking info later today or tomorrow.

I've been toting around my boats' battery in the bed of my truck for a week anticipating the death of my 5 year old Die Hard under the hood. Extreme cold expected here for Sunday and Monday.

Got my 27F today. Long wait but worth it I hope. And installed. Took some extra time to clean up the corrosion on the terminal clamps and tie down bracket, cleaned up some rusty spots under the battery tray, painted under tray and resprayed the tie down bracket with a fresh coat. Finally - spayed some corrosion protection on the terminals. Probably not necessary though since they are brass.

Same, got my 35 and 27F last night. Packaging was nice, saved them from a few hits on the outside

Got my battery, installed same day. Super happy with it in the cold these past few days. A question for those that bought the 27F, did you have fitment trouble with the stock tie down bracket? I had to run it under the handle.

It almost bothers me enough to buy a new battery tray and bracket, in which case I would have bought the group 31 size battery. I'm thinking out loud in case future me (or anybody else) is debating on a future group buy.

I bought a new ‘exact fit’ Duralast Gold (huge upgrade over OEM) for her Outback and ran into the same aesthetic issue. I closed her hood and forgot about it, but found it funny that the handle is quirky. Guess it only applies to the battery itself.

Got a local company here that is a Northstar dealer and has prices at or less than the best group buy price. If anyone is in Kansas, check out Allpak Battery!

Removed the yellow floor mat sticker.
I'm interested in a NorthStar battery if there ever is another group buy. I just missed this one. :(
