I figure, like a couple have previously stated.....it’ll get me to the 2.7 pulley statistical figures while keeping my 2.825 and current belt.

It's a smart move for anyone wanting to up boost but not step down pulley sizes for slippage prevention. Even a small increase in size of the crank pulley will negate some of the most annoying slippage.

You have good time to do so!

I am inquiring of incorporating the RIP mod to each pulley that will be built for us for some added grip down at the crank. I am currently not sure if that will be able to be realized in the final production as apparently it takes a long time, but we'll see.

I don’t think it would really be necessary for the rip mod on the crank pulley. I imagine it would increase the belt wear also. Just my opinion, but I am perfectly fine with having the top pulley the only rip mod.

Edit: also thinking about it more, I don’t think the crank pulley is going to slip with how much surface area has belt on it, the top pulley should be the biggest problem for belt slip being as the belt isn’t making as large of a contact patch.

How are y'all doing the RIP mod to pulleys ? I have a URD stealth pulley I need to throw on the truck and wanted to do this to help with slippage

I went through smoothflowpulleyes. He adds them in for an extra like $10 or $15.

    Added.

It's just an option we may be able to have. Since every pulley will be done the same we would all have to be in agreeance with it, but it already sounds like it is going to be 86'ed... So as long as you guys are aware of the option to do so it wouldn't hurt.

Belt wear is not a thing with the mod, but when there is slippage that causes belt glazing on the ribs which accelerates wear for sure.

I took a dremel to about 3 of mine now without issue. first with the 2.7, then the 2.6 now the 2.5. Just need a good bit for the dremel, shouldnt have any problem grinding through some of the aluminum

Edit: im too cheap to get nate to machine it on my pulleys, and i wanted to be able to choose how many rips to put on there as well.

I’m not totally against it, I just don’t know that it is really needed w/ the crank pulley. But then again it would be even slightly more weight reduction... decisions decisions

I have seen many supercharger aftermarket billet crank pulleys with the mod integrated that's why I mention it. There is a reason why they are doing it and since we are designing a whole new pulley now is our chance to address the shortcomings of the supplied unit with the supercharger kit.

We have to keep in mind that this mod integration is entirely pending, as we are not sure if they will even be able to do it for us and if they can we are not sure if it will drive cost up or not.
