Oh well EXCUSEEEEE MEEEE! :D ;)

The majority of the members still invested in this thread are still in. Which is good because I just wanted to make sure myself and XPO were being as transparent as possible about everything from the getgo and there was a firm understanding of the function of this part.

I think it is safe to say, let us proceed.

I'm still voting for RED, but I understand the color issue. ;)

In reality, the pulley won't be all that easy to see. At the bottom of the engine, under the fan, with a skid plate underneath.

definitely, which is why I'm not too picky. Red would just be for me knowing its in there and seeing it occasionally. lol

Apologies if I missed the post on this - I did do a quick search of the thread but didn't see anything... I saw the weight is 1.326lbs, but what is the stock pulley weight? And, is there a comparison of the moment of inertia of this new design to that of the original?

Just ordered the 5mm x 14mm dowel pins for the Keyway. 4,600lb Double Shear breaking strength. C52 Rockwell.

going over the final outside diameter right now to make sure we dont run into clearance issues with the pulley's on the tensioner. right now, the model is at 6.54" (rib diameter). The OE is 6.5" (rib diameter). so... technically its .040" oversized. lol But, that means there is less outside wall to make sure the belt stays on the pulley. There's a wall currently, but I'd like to get as much as possible that I can get away with fitting in there. Adding to the height of the wall (overall outside diameter) will increase the pulley from the OE size of 6.68"... to 6.77". We're talking .090"... .045" each side.

for reference, here is the clearance im talking about. between s/c crank pulley and tensioner pullies. I just want to make sure that adding that extra .045" wont make for issues. once I get that dialed in.. I think we're ready to roll. Been spending the last couple days going over it all with a fine tooth comb.

Alright guys, here's the final results.

    OEM Pulley:
    Weight - 31.5 OZ
    Overall Diameter - 6.68"
    Rib Diameter - 6.50"

    BILLET Pulley:
    Weight - 21.5 OZ
    Overall Diameter - 6.76"
    Rib Diameter - 6.54"

New Pulley is 10oz lighter and .040" oversized.

Pins arrive today, so hopefully we can start setting up and gathering tooling, etc. I will post up when they are in the books and scheduled. At that time, we can start collecting 50% Non-Refundable Payments while these are running. Turn around time is yet to be determined, I will get that once we start rolling.

Not sure how I feel about the pulley being oversized, what does everyone think? I am happy with it being lighter though!

Doesn't an oversized crank pulley do the same thing (functionally) as a smaller s/c pulley?

my bad, I read it as like .4 over lol.
And for some reason I read it as .4 undersized (less boost). Too much Ot lately taking a toll on my brain function.

Is there a reason we aren’t matching the OEM exactly? I mean I know .04 is minimal. Is it just the machining process that is causing the discrepancy?
