Granted my truck is torn down at the moment so it was quick to swap on.

So I keep hearing yall talk about TDC and making sure the orientation is correct for reinstall. Its a pulley.... that runs accessories, why does TDC matter? Asking out of ignorance.

So I am mostly just guessing here, so I could be completely full of SHIZ but I think it is so if you ever have the motor apart you can spin the pulley to match up TDC with other timing marks like say the timing chain or something like that.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
This is for those who are swapping out the crank pulley with their NST S/C pulley. The NST crank pulley does not have a mark on it so not impossible to find TDC but much easier by checking the crank pulley first when tearing into the engine. The TDC has nothing to do with the SC NST pulley since the guide pin orients it regardless.

I see. OEM crank has a mark, NST does not. So by putting the engine at TDC, removing the stock dampener, installing the NST and marking TDC, it makes for easy reference later. Do I have that right?

I’m doing both crank and SC.

had me second guessing if I needed to do that on the SC one. When I tossed it on today I pulled the NST and cut a nice line where I had marked it before. Just in case.

you don’t need to put at TDC when you pull the pulley. You can only install it one way but if you need to do cam gears or anything with chains etc you will want that line on there. So when you take off stock put it against the NST find the line and mark it. I had a line I marked but did a small cut today similar to the factor one.

New pulley color match is pretty good with the crank pulley I bought from @JustDSM

Had to file the groove a bit to get them to play well together.

Now I need a 2.3” blower pulley to match.

This 2.5 that I’m running now is so... 2017

I wonder if NST would be interested in making some blower pulleys.

Lining up a crank pulley to TDC is VERY important when doing internal engine work. It is essential in ensuring that everything is lined up correctly when either removing or installing cam gears, cams, timing chains, timing belts etc. etc. I'd you do not have the mark or make the mark on your pulley and you have to do internal work later on down the road you will be very sorry you didn't do it.

This right here. I used a cut off wheel on the dremel to make a small slit on where the TSC mark is supposed to be then sealed the mark with some blue assembly paint. The same kind that was originally on the supercharger 3.0 pulley for our trucks.

    Heck yeah. So yesterday. Hahaha.

A little unlikely. Too many dimensions to take into account which are already obtained by pulleyboys and smoothflow. The market is already highly saturated for blower pulleys so I don't see why they would make their own for us.

The only thing that would make it even a little attractive would be the fact that they would be able to anodize them black for us "factory look" freaks. Something that Smoothflow does not do and that's the only thing I can fault them for.
