I think I’ll keep the stock crank damper and just use the NST SC crank pulley. I’ll then sell the NST crank damper since it can work on a non-SC truck. Darn installation holes not aligning.

Everyone else got theirs to work. You can do it, it's not that bad.

Pull the pin from the stock pulley and hammer it into the damper at the same depth. Use a file to slightly widen the key way on the SC crank pulley until you can sandwich the two pulleys together.

For install lightly oil or grease the inside surface and the crank shaft as per @Torspd and install.

Did not use any bolts or pressing tools to do this at all.

Engine off truck right now. Maybe will be easier and won’t need a tool to tighten when on park. Good advise.

I forgot to mention my truck was manual so I put it in gear and then torqued down the crank bolt.

Not sure what the procedure is with auto trans but would be same as initial supercharger install.

Thread bolt in a few threads, then full speed with the impact.

@12TRDTacoma Has anyone else had issues fitting water pump pulley? truck is all apart and seems to be hitting something on the pump preventing install.

Or is it only possible to install with crank pulley off?

I had to take the crank sc pulley off, then install the water pump pulley, then reinstall the crank pulley. So yes, you need the sc crank pulley removed to be able to install

Not that I know of. I personally pulled my crank and WP pulley at the same time so install was really easy. It may be hitting on the raised sections of your crank pulley.

I installed the SC crank pulley first, then the WP pulley and i couldnt get the WP pulley on w/ the crank pulley in place. Had to take the crank sc pulley back off and install the WP pulley first then everything fell into place. Not sure why but maybe the dims are a little different on the NST WP pulley vs stock

@12TRDTacoma or @BassAckwards do you recall if your crank pulley threaded and S/C pulley holes lined up for the tool or not? I’m having a heck of a time getting the last bit of torque on. Tool pins seem a bit too short and my bolt holes don’t line up so I can’t thread in a bolt.

Mine did not. I just gave it a few chugs on the impact and called it a day.

Thanks, interesting.... I guess it’s not going anywhere and I can check it after some road miles without disassembling anything

yah if you got a good mount of torque its likely fine. Plus it light will tighten some more as you drive on it. Basically the advice I got when I ran into the same issue your having. I tried with a tool and eventually said F it and use the impact which is good for up to 200 or so.
