    That's over 3.5lbs removed from the OE unit! :eek:

    My guess would be something around 2.5- 3 lbs due to the fact the pulley is not impregnated with rubber like the OE crank accessory dampner is.

    As long as you can fit the LFP dual bearing roller on it you'll be good to go.

    I am not grasping why we need the different wheel on the tensioner.

    Because if we are going to go for an overdrive crank pulley the design is already within it's limitations without interference in it's OE form. If we shave a good .170 (or whatever it was) off of the idler pulley, then we have room to play with sizes which will effectively increase our boost capabilities.

    It's basically moving physical sizing which causes interference issues and moving it all towards the largest rotational part, but we need to clear the space in order to go larger.

    I am curious to hear from @TRON if he had to change his idler pulley for his NST supercharger crank pulley? Not saying we won't have to. Just wondering how NST pulled it off

    Their old system provided an overdrive crank pulley and a series of other pulleys which were smaller than OE size in order to compensate for the new larger size of the crank pulley.

    Of course the fallacies of their system is that they used cheap Chinese bearings which would junk real fast leaving the system useless unless you spent more money on the setup on quality bearings.

    The only thing needed here is a smaller tensioner pulley, not an intricate setup of other pulleys like they were doing.

    Yup. I think the kit included a smaller idler pulley on the tensioner and a fan pulley in order for the NST SC crank pulley to physically fit. Everybody changed out the one idler bearing to ceramic cause that pulley is spinning pretty fast.

    Will this larger supercharger crank pulley be compatible with the NST crank pulley? Cause if I went in there to change the one, I would want to change the other while I'm at it.... a reduction of 56oz of main crank is quite a bit.

    The supercharger crank pulley is designed to fit on top of the crank dampner. I currently run an NST crank dampner pulley without issue. When these supercharger pulleys get made, they will be designed with a mounting surface virtually identical to the supercharger one so it will all fit up properly.

    I'm going to require that you haze yourself twice. Once you have done so and have learned your lessons then you can come back fresh into these conversations. Lol. :D

    Those of us with the 2.5”, I'm not sure we’ll actually move more air which is the key to more hp. We’re near the edge of efficiency on the Magnuson. @JustDSM reiterated this the other day.
