I would call them directly ASAP and ask them first but I believe you have to be added to the list before ordering, I know when I ordered mine they actually checked for my user name on the list

Hey all so I'm curious to know if anyone runs there Soft Topper with the rear window rolled up like this, I mean it seems wicked sturdy so I think I might try driving to work like this in an hour cause its only like 2 mile drive if that even.

I haven't had an issue with mine setup like that. The biggest thing I would keep in mind when driving with the flaps rolled up is that if you roll up either side or both make sure you also roll up the back as well cause it will act like a parachute otherwise. I have driven woth every flap rolled up and had zero issues

in the Frame, where the safety pins connect, (on the 3rd gens atleast) there are 3 holes, which give you three options of positiong height. Mine on the middle setting is perfectly flush, but every Gen is different.

does your topper have that option?

the safety pin i am referring connectings the foldable from to the bed rail mounts

I totally forgot about that! I played around with mine until I got a height I liked.

Guys, just wanted to thank you all again for making this a successful group buy for Softopper! They responded VERY positively to the program that was setup and hopefully we can do this again in the future. Unfortunately, I was not able to personally order one myself, I had two wheel bearings and an ABS sensor go bad this month which used up all of the money I had set aside for this but hopefully I'll be able to get in on the next one. Again, thank you all for participating and I'll see ya in the next GB!

Got it installed and have been using it quite a lot already! Makes for a great truck camping setup, warm and waterproof!

Basically stock. OME 882s, HD Dakars and nitrochrgers, TG front bumper, custom rear bumper, 4Xinnovations sliders, RAT skids, Softopper, 255/85/16 ST MAXX's on 16" steelies, 1" B.O.R.A. wheel spacers Scangaugae II, deck plate mod, grey wire mod,ECGS bushing, diff breather relocation, alarm mod, defrost w/o compressor mod, de-badged, sockmonkey beside decals.
I didnt even mess with them. No way i could get 3-1/2" taller by adjusting them. I email softopper and they did send me the wrong topper and have the correct one on its way. It was for a 2nd gen like i thought. Im kinda pissed because im going to have probaly 5-6 hours in building, disaembling and boxing up toppers when it shouldve only been about an 1.5 hrs. Its going to be a pain in the dick boxing up this wrong topper the way they had it. I really appreciate the discounted price we got the toppers at but I dont have time for this shit.

So, my black on black looks great, and I'm happy. I'm hoping to use it for camping (but probably missed most of my opportunities for this summer.) I had an idea, and I wanted to see what y'all thought before I went too far down the rabbit hole.

I was considering adding a scissor lift mechanism to join the softopper to the frame and building a fabric extension so one could get an extra 12-18" of height for camping. Obviously, it would need to be in the normal position while driving, but it seems like a popup mechanism wouldn't be too terrible difficult. I've looked around and haven't seen anything like that. Anyone have thoughts on the idea? Thanks!

Put mine on this morning. Took 2 hrs from start to finish. I'm sure I could put the next one on in an hour.

Its really a simple design that functions really well. I have some tweaking to do on it this weekend to get it about an inch higher and an inch forward.

The 3 position pin was set in the middle when it arrived, so I just rolled with that.

Very, very happy with the outcome and still allows me to use my swingout tiregate for now. But I will be selling it and going back to the tailgate eventually.

The only thing I dislike is now I have to find alternative storage for all my eqpt, recovery gear that used to be in my toolbox.

Thx again "ocih" for getting this rolling.20161004_110343.jpg

Looks good. I ended up getting a Prinsu rack with an all-weather rifle case for all my recovery gear. I've though about adding a second one for tools, but for now I just keep them in a soft sided bag that I put in the bed when I'm heading out.

    Thanks.
Sounds like a pretty good setup.
The only other thing is that my hardshell had good weight to it. The truck seemed to drive better with the shell and all my recovery gear.

I think most likey, I will weld up a storage platform for the bed out of aluminum. Its to short for me to camp in and will help get me some weight back.
