I got the boot bag and will probably just tuck it behind my back seats since I plan on keeping it up all the time. The mesh screen I was 50/50 on and decided I am just going to get down the road if I catch myself saying "I should have gotten it" on more than one occasion.

Y'all are gonna love your Softoppers.

A little plug for 'em... I ordered mine a year ago and when it got here I took some time to get all of the mounting hardware painted black to look a little cleaner on my truck. When it came time to install everything I discovered that the mounting clamps they sent me weren't the ones I had ordered. A quick call to the fine folks at Softopper and I had the correct clamps at my doorstep the very next day, and I live 1000 miles from Boulder. Damn fine customer service right there.

Like the idea of painting the hardware black. Would make all the poles les noticable when open.

The poles are a smooth, near polished finish aluminum, so I didn't go so far as to paint them. I've seen some guys on here paint the poles, but I only did the mounting rails and clamps for when I roll topless.

Wonder if it would be worth getting everything powdercoated or anodized? Anodized might be better.

I don't drive around with the side panels rolled up so the poles being shiny aluminum doesn't really bother me. I originally planned to paint them but after considering that they aren't seen I changed my mind. If you plan on driving around with the sides rolled up then you may want to look into coating them.
