80 people is a ton for a GB. I would say realistically around half will drop out, but that still would leave 40. That should be plenty enough for this thing to be great for the vendor and all of us discount hungry vultures. I hope it works out.

Would someone please explain the transfer case crossmember, do you have to have it to bolt the skid plate up, if you buy the tc skid plate does the cm included or do you have to buy it separately?

I also think about half will drop out as well. That's just the way Group Buys work, but 40 is still a good number. I'm itching to get this thing going as much as the rest.

I found this on RCI's website:

    KEY FEATURES

    • Protects third cross-member, transfer-case, and exhaust pipe
    • Excellent addition or replacement of weak, lightweight OEM skid plate that directly attaches to the transfer-case (this means impact will not disperse, rendering plate useless)
    • Reinforced edges between cross-members for maximum strength and rigidity
    • Bolt protector rings surround exposed bolts, shielding against physical damage
    • Smooth, flat surface that easily slides over obstacles
    • Black powder coat available for rust resistant, durable and high quality finish
    • Installs in minutes
    • All hardware and installation instructions provided
    • All models include a heavy duty 3/16" steel cross-member- aluminum option includes a powdercoated steel cross-member
    • All Cross-members come powder coated black for ALL options (bare steel/alumium and powder coat steel/aluminum) **NEW**
    • Direct bolt on addition to existing factory attachment points, no drilling required

I talked with Josh today at RCI, and this Group Buy is a go. We're going to officially open the Group Buy on Monday the 18th, and a discount code will be provided to people interested in joining. The discount still needs to be determined by Josh, but I should know those details in a couple days.

So at this point this is no longer a feeler thread. This Group Buy will happen so please stay tuned.

Josh is figuring out the details now, and will give me a discount code in a couple more days. Some of the discounts from previous GB's are as follows, but I have no idea what he has in store for this one.
    *Spring 2014- 15% off < $450, 20% off > $450
    *Fall 2015- 15% off < $600, 20% off > $600

We should most likely be somewhere in that range, but nothing is final until I hear from Josh.

The list is now up to 90 people.

Another note is the cross member people are asking about. The cross member IS INCLUDED with the purchase of a t-case skid plate. This is the case for both the 2nd, and 3rd Gen's. Sorry for the confusion earlier on in this thread.

Sliders are part of the deal. Let me know what you decide, and I'll add you.
