I just saw a video for these and I just tried to order and noticed that it ended at 8:00pm today. I was just outside that time. Is there anyway to get a code to use? I'm a new Tacoma owner and trying to build out my rig and I'd love to add these so I can stop using that darn hood prop arm.

    Thanks.

Finally installed mine today. I must say I've been wanting these for a while but never pulled the trigger. Can't believe I waited so long. I haven't been this happy with something that I installed on my truck in a very long time. I freaking love these things! Thank you @RedlineTuning !

I chose not to use the hardware included with the kit though. Instead I used rivet nuts with stainless steel button head screws.

What size rivnuts and drill bit did you used?
I am looking to go this route since it gives me an option for removal.

I like this option, makes it a little easier to protect the metal of the hood as well prior to install.

Just be sure to measure 3 times before drilling if going this route. There's pretty much no room for error going this route if using M5 like I did. I see why Redline chose to supply pop rivets to make installation easier for most.

So the hole is slightly larger with an M5.
    Do they make 3/16 rivnuts?

Yes. The brackets will accept M5 screws perfectly. However with rivnuts you have to drill a larger hole than you would with pop rivets. For the M5 rivnuts I have, the drill size is 9/32. You can go down a size to M4 but of course you're going down to a smaller screw. Maybe M4 might be strong enough, maybe not, I don't know. I choose not to go smaller than M5 but then again M5 is the smallest I had anyway.

I'm not trying to deter anyone from using rivnuts, I'm just saying be sure to get it right the first time or you might be screwed. I don't want to get blamed for any mishaps of people trying rivnuts like I did. :)
