@Yancey @COSD Hope these help! If you remove that black plastic cover it’ll show you the “shelf” kinda area you’ll mount to, that area gets covered up once you reinstall the cover.

@dskakie this is my worry. I have these relays mounted inside the drivers finder well on the two treaded holes.

I don’t want to interfere with them and some pics make it seem like mounting the lower portion of the strut will.

I’ve actually got that same relay holder but replaced recently! the mounting holes for my Power Tray are the same as that relay holder so I can’t get an exact measurement anymore, but I’ll try hold it in place to see if it’d clear.. I don’t think it would though :/

Prior to install make sure you have everything. I lucked out and had a bolt handy to replace. Mine came one rivet short.

But I really like the hood lifts. Way better than the prop!

Installed mine last Saturday. Seem good. I did a Chinese set off eBay on an Xterra as well several months ago. Oddly the ebay set seem a bit more stout. My redline on the Tacoma have a little lag to them when first opened. That said, they open the hood slow but very controlled. Nice product. Appreciate the group buy.

Bummer missed out on these but would have definitely purchased at 25% off. Any final determination on if these will work on a 16+ with the relay holder installed?

I installed mine yesterday. I had a little difficulty squeezing the rivet gun until the rivets popped it could have been the cheap rivet gun I was using $6.00 or my old hands 74 but I got the job done. I did have a problem with one of the connectors on the end of the gas strut it seems the metal clip got bent somehow so I had to remove the clip then put it on then try to reinstall the clip it really isn't on as good as it should be. But all that being said it is installed and it works really well.
