I got mine from advanceautoparts.com and signed up to their emailing address to get 25% off. With the discount it comes out to $7.36/quart

I'm at 208/500 miles. Will be around 350/500 tomorrow.

I love my truck again. I will note I can just barely, barely hear the gears for a second on decelerations. It has to be no music on, windows closed, and under 40mph. But you can faintly hear the sound of the gears. If you have music or the window even cracked you won't hear anything.

Smaller teeth are usually prone to more noise. Not surprising or uncommon from stories on TW. Seems super minor.

Also, planned out my route home. 15 min to chick fil a, 20 min to harbor freight, 15 min home. Making the most of this break in.

I’m currently tuned 1.05 91 octane. I forgot the exact tune/name I did. It’s been so long. Anyways, if i don’t tune for the 5.29 gears after I regear it shouldn’t effect my truck that much? Thanks

I’m sure it’s been answered, but what’s the recommended break in for the gears?

Thank you for entertaining my lazy ass. I’m beat from a long day of work and my fingers hurt.....

edit: they’re only 52 miles from me which works for the initial break in! A nice slow trip up to the Sierras for some good climbing should just about top this thing off for me.

So far is @SoCalTacoTruck the only one who has got in for a regear? Interested in hearing what people think of the gear choice they made.
