so I called them and they said if you are installing the arb front locker it will eliminate the need for the bushing.

I have skids, sliders, snugtop and gear. Glad I went with aluminum skids. I was considering a DeMello aluminum front and winch. So then that leads to heavier front springs and then .........................

Welp, looks like I’ll be adding front and rear ARB lockers, it was tough to decide. A lot of people love them and a lot complain about leaks and other issues.

I have read on the OV forum quite a bit and the only thing he has ever mentioned (or that I have seen) is that the shift points may just be off a bit. The main thing noticed after regearing is peeps are limited to 86 mph. From what I understand, it won't affect the truck otherwise.

He said this to someone asking..hope this helps!

"5.29 is coming later. You can run the 4.88 tune in the meantime.

Please don’t choose your gears based on which tune is available, there are plenty of guys in the 4.88 and 5.29 threads happy with their gears and don’t have any tune."

Are you talking about with the OVTune? Because there was a time we were doing 94mph with 5.29's across a lake bed on the factory tune.

Anyone who ordered Lucas oil from Amazon, I just got the oil and it’s 80W-90. Make sure you received the correct one. Amazon is sending me a new order delivery by Sunday. Love it.

Also got my gears done today.

Had a good chat with @thelifeaquatic while his rad truck was being worked on.

I did have an issue after. The abs light came on. They said it might be the harness for the sensor was stretched while it was on the lift. Which is odd because I had drooped that wheel plenty before and not had this issue. They ordered a replacement harness but it won’t be in until Tuesday. They were trying to make it right and offered to change the engine oil when I come back in. I am going to see if I can resolve on my own. Don’t really want to drive out to Corona again just for that.

Sorry to see that happen. I’ve broken 3 ABS lines, ripped them straight in half. I learned to never keep them in the clips on the UCA.

If you need help figuring it out let me know! Glad they tried to make it right.

Yes, that was with OVTune, though I don't think it was consistently affecting everyone. But 94mph across a lake bed sounds fun with any gearing.

Sorry to hear that. Were they unable to clear the code? If so, I assume it came back on. A little scary, seeing we have all semi hosed our Toyota driveline warranty.

Glad they are trying to fix it. Let us know how it goes.

First gear right now feels like the biggest improvement. That’s because I drove like a grandma, but I could feel response improve. When I got to highway speeds I MAY have heard a slight hum around 65 but it was so minor I could have been imagining it. Running around 2000 rpm at 65 mph. Feels just right there. Also, gear changes stayed within 1 gear on the freeway which was awesome.

Happy so far. But kind of need more miles so I can step onto it more.

I don’t know if they tried to clear the code. It was still on so if they did it did not do anything. I am pretty sure it’s a minor issue. It’s not affecting any mechanical components of the drivetrain.

    UPDATE

Going forward, there is going to be an extra charge for people who bring lockers themselves in to get installed. You can blame me for misquoting Miguel. 100% my fault. If you bought your locker through Premier, this does not apply to you. They will install lockers ordered through them for no extra charge.

The fee is $100 per locker!

There is also a fee for ECGS Bushings: A YELP REVIEW!
