Agree, it simple really. OP needs to relay the feedback to PWG and then provide some comforting information back to the GB to instill confidence. They had a good reputation. They originally quoted 4 hours to to a job that most shops take 8+ to do, and is knocking it out in 1.5 hours. I don’t need the job done that quickly. Slow down, let the quality speak over turnaround time!

Also gave my feedback to Miguel regarding oil level, overtightening of diff plugs and wheel lugs. Hope you guys get a little more care.

Of course, we are a community. Gotta look out!

He said he was sorry to hear it and they will address those concerns. They want us all to be happy with the experience.

Probably curled in the corner wondering if saving $200 on his install was worth dealing with 60 70 dudes and their trucks...

Come on. Give him a break. He’s probably out wheeling with his new gears.
It is strange that he has disappeared though.

    Norcal
I'm kind of glad I backed out of this gb as soon as I saw the ECGS 15% moving sale. At the end of the day I'm only spending $500 more getting the gears/lockers from ECGS and install locally in Norcal. The margin might be even less considering gas and time. Good luck to the folks that are still in on this gb, I'm sure everything will work out.

Hey guys I’m out on a month long roadtrip, my replies will be spread out.

I’m on the phone with Miguel right now. I brought up every concern that we’ve had. They said they are going to take more time on the rigs, torque the wheels to spec, and check over & over for leaking CV’s. Any person who has had issues, they will take care of you.

I let him know all the issues we’ve had: CV’s leaking, overtorqued lug nuts, etc.

What Miguel said is: “I will talk to Carlos about not using an impact and instead using a torque wrench. We will be more careful removing CV’s to not damage them. After install, we will have the customer drive an initial 15 minutes and return to the shop for us to inspect for any leaking CV’s.”

Issues do happen, and I’ve had 8 leaking CV boots. I understand everyones concerns. Miguel was grateful for me relaying the information over to not get comfortable working on our trucks.

If you have any individual questions, please message me on Instagram: @socalexpeditions. It’s easier for me to load IG than Safari. I stop at public libraries every few days for Wi-Fi and to get work done, so I will respond then.
