For some positive feedback on this thread... My install was on June 26. No leaks through the break in period. At 500 miles, the fluid looked good with barely any shavings. The plugs weren’t overly tight either. Still got a long way to break in the front, but I’m happy with the gears so far. I’m glad I hopped on this group buy.

Progress is being made! Only took 50 people hahaha.

I have fully broken in my front diff and will report back when I change the fluid next week on how it looks. Rear was perfect and it wasn’t over or underfilled like some have reported. A lot of time, gear oil ends up in the rear axle. So if you’re worried about it being under filled, jack up the rear of the truck and pull out the axle shafts and you’ll find your missing oil (there’s actually no point to this so please don’t do it).

I know this from when I did the ECGS install myself and pulled the axle shafts out and got oil everywhere.

You broke in your front gears while you were on your trip? Did you use 4x4 at all during your trip?

You never changed out the oil first before you went on your trip?

Just had my trusted local mechanic change the rear diff oil. He checked my entire drive line. No over tightened bolts. Zero issues.

Just loving my 4.88 and OVTune. What this truck should have been from the factory.

Good reminder. My next service is front diff, motor oil, check / flush transmission and grease drive train.

Got both front seals replaced yesterday and so far so good. It only took them about 45 minutes to fix.

Not bad, I already changed rear diff fluid so it was only like 2 hours down and 2 hours back.

How is everyone doing? Any more issues going on? How are the gears feeling?

I am back home and can respond to messages quickly now.

So far the truck runs great after installing the 5.29 Nitros. Not reporting any leaks at the moment and will be replacing the rear diff fluid tomorrow. I'll have more to report after my trip to Norcal next week. As it stands, I am a happy customer!
