I did it myself. I used what was on the FAQ and everything went smooth. Just takes a while to pump the fluid in.

Was planning on it, bought the pump and everything but going to have them do it. Want them to take a look at my diff to check for leaks, looks like there might be a small one.

Did it myself, most time consuming part was pumping the new fluid in.

I arrived about 45min early for my appointment this morning and they pulled me right in and got started. Fingers crossed no leaks or anything. I brought my laptop with me to load the OV 4.88 tune!

I did it myself. PWG recommended non-synthetic. I used the Lucas Oil 85W-140, no issues, I know other's did as well. Rear diff oil change was SUPER easy, the longest part of the process is pumping in fluid, it's an arm workout for sure. The front you'll need to remove your skid plate, but same thing, easy to drain, long pumping process. Just remember to change out those crush washers!

One more question guys. So we have to put 500miles in 4wd before we can swap out the oil in the front diff?

seems like a lot of miles... or just do the 3 cycle break in for the front.

Thanks. Yeah Miguel recommended non synthetic but I’ve been calling shops and they keep saying synthetic. I’ll just buy the oil myself.

Hmm you seem to have misunderstood my post. I never said I wanted to do synthetic just wanted to clear it up which is why I asked here. I was actually arguing with the shop that they shouldn’t use synthetic. And that’s why I said I’d buy the non synthetic myself. But wanted to confirm here. Thanks for the FAQ and help sarcastic or not still helpful.

Can anybody that got their front ARB locker installed confirm what their switch looks like? Does it say “Front Air Locker” or is it some cheesy looking switch. I asked Miguel if I got the wrong one and he said “this is the new updated one”. Just want to verify. AC543E53-BC42-4597-832F-F9883B0AC672.jpg

Hang tight he will get back to you if he hasn't already. I didn't talk about 1st gen Taco/3rd gen 4Runner for the group buy so I don't know the pricing for them, just letting you know in case you're quoted something different (probably less) than us.

Does anyone know any good shops in Orange County area that can do this after the 500 miles?

Is this offer open to others willing to drive to OC? What's your price?

It's super super easy to drain your fluid. Or one of us can help you out if you don't have the tools.
