**CLOSED**Round two: Icon suspensions - group buy!**

I've already talk to ramonortiz55, the vendor I brought up with him he already talk to them about this group buy and was not interested. All I can say is for those who want just front coilover for example, to just call up a vendor on here and talk to them directly to see what they can do for you.

 

I have great connections but not for Group Buys.

 

I can see it being difficult for the vendor if people only want certain components....I think it would be easier for a vendor to track orders if they were the complete stage kits for the GB only. There has to be one official TW Vendor that would do a better discount than the one currently!

Is it ok to start an unofficial - "If discount was better I'm in on the GB" list? That way we can show the vendors on here that there is interest.....just a thought.

 

I'm very interested. I'd like to make sure I'm looking at the correct kit formy vehicle.

I'm pretty disappointed with the level of detail on ICON's site. "Increases travel" but the extended and compressed lengths aren't listed ANYWHERE, OR the amount of travel AT ALL! Does anyone know?

 

I had to call Icon to get travel lengths for my 4runner

 

Too bad the vendor didn't see how much more participants the OME group buy got with a better discount.

 

the OME one was approved by ARB.

This group buy was approved within the vendor and distributors.

Icon approved group buys dont happen, they only approve the black friday deals.

The King specs listed are for the 25001-119A shocks, King also offers a 25001-119A-EXT extended travel (Need UCA's) model that provides:

Extended: 22.625"
Compressed: 16.75"
Difference: 5.875"

there are three level of discounts

1. discount within the vendor
2. further discounts within the vendor and distributor
3. even further discount within the manufacturer, vendor, and distributor combined.

The thing that most people don't realize is that some of these Manufacturers don't approve of advertised sales like this. Icon is actually one of them and they do this for good reason. Vendors that ignore this are in violation of the manufacturers policy, which is why said vendor likely doesn't care to disclose who they are.

These GB are great for the many that save, but in the end it really just pisses the manufacturers off because it devalues their product and causes conflict with the many retailers or wholesalers who buy direct.

Perhaps you should start calling these manufacturers first to get an understanding of their policy vs. just trying to find a vendor desperate enough to break the rules.

Just a thought
