I agree... before the recent correspondence about the hunt for vendors, I assumed these GB's were through the manufacturer. (I participated in the All Pro Slider group buy with the vendor, which is the way it's supposed to be done). If the manufacturer finds out who's selling these at group discount rates it could be in violation of their wholesaler's agreement, and they can be blackballed.

It also doesn't make much sense to group buy through a wholesale account... by definition the price would be higher with a reseller than if the GB was through the manufacturer directly.

i too am waiting on kings. you may want to do some research in the meantime. king and icon are very different shocks! not to debate quality of either brand...
king vs. icon vs. fox racing coilovers

Thanks for that link. I mainly do some rock crawling and occasionally hit the mud pits. I suppose i should get kings since ill be doing things at a lower speed. Or did i get that backwards?

it's not really that simple. but avoiding all the sciency stuff and trying not to clog up someone else's thread, it mostly breaks down to personal preference. i'm sure you'd be happy with either brand since they are both mountains over stock shocks!

Received my Icon goodies today! I went with the 2.5 Coil Overs and the 2.0 rear shocks. Next come AllPro UCA's, Expedition Leaf Springs, and Sliders... Things are getting exciting.

I would be interested in Icon 2.5 coil overs if this opens again. Thanks for the hard work.

I went with the Stage 1 Coil Overs and Shocks. All Pro Uca's, U Bolt Flip Kit, Deavers Expedition leafsprings rated for 450 lbs of extra weight, and Timbren Bumpstops. I was really impressed with this setup. The Icon Shocks are awesome! Went on a 6 day trip in the Maze district of Canyonlands. Aired down the tires to 22lbs. Handled everything outstandingly! 60+ mph on dirt/sand gravel roads, slick rock, gnarly rutted technical trails all the way to Doll House and back. Improves handling on the road as well as off. Nice and smooth once I loaded her down and broke in the Leafspring packs. Thanks for the group buy!
