    Nov 1 last year my beautiful wife was diagnosed with cancer and given a year. I was showered with words of encouragement and love from my TW family all over the country. We made some big plans, and carried a lot of them out. Unfortunately the cancer its own plans, a big head start and upper hand.

    ANYWAY, one day just before XMAS 2015, a box showed up addressed to Alison. It was this beautiful purple, unbelievably soft robe. It took a day or two to figure out who sent it as it was just signed with first names. It ended up being from @tyfoon11 and his wife Lori who were MY SS recipients!!! Alison (my wife) cried big time, and those emotions returned every time she shared the story of these "truck people" who never met her, sending such love and compassion. That purple happens to be her favorite color, Lori didn't know it. That robe was a turning point in the way Alison looked at things. Instead of seeing people feeling sorry for her, she saw people loving her and being her angels\champions. The robe went on almost all of our bucket list trips and hospital stays. The robe of course has to be here with her now.

    She's now in hospice. I sit here and watch her as this chapter of my life ends. I have SO MUCH COMFORT and CONFIDENCE knowing I have this family around the country that I'll be able to lean on.

    Many see the SS as shenanigan's, I see it as a an opportunity to make a statement for someone else, and I am honored and excited to participate this year from wherever I'm at. If I may be so bold to say.... I love you guys and gals, you are my community, and there is strength in community.
