    I've shipped beer in cans many time with no issues, just make sure they can't shift around a lot. For bottles pad of them or keep them in the cardboard 6 pack and stuff paper in to keep them from rattling.

    I heard from a friend that it's illegal to ship alcohol across State lines without a license, and that USPS will not ship alcohol at all. My friend also said that UPS and FedEx will ship alcohol, they don't usually check if someone has a license to do so, and that (if anyone ever asks) it helps to declare the bottles as something other than alcohol. My friend doesn't do this, though, because that would be illegal.
