Hit a manhole in a construction zone where they hadn't finished paving and it mangled the subframe and bent the whole front end. I had it towed to a shop, insurance called while I was in school to tell me it was totaled and by the time I got out of school and called them back to tell them I wanted to buy it back they had sold it out from under me and the company they sold it to wouldn't sell it to me without a dealers license.

good luck figuring out who I am

I am here, I am there, I am nowhere and everywhere.

    Serious question for you,
What kind of engineer are you, i.e., mechanical, structural, etc?

Interesting ! I don't know any others that have turned into elec's. I'm a lowly civil myself... I suppose my network just doesn't have the skills to do anything more than the DC stuff in my truck

I do PLC programming and industrial type stuff now, so not really electrical design stuff except for our wiring. I enjoy it, more so than sitting in an office on autocad day in and day out

Apparently not. I was so pissed I almost switched ins. companies. I knew when it happened that it was totaled and the block was fucked so I had already found an ls/t56 donor car and ls swap kit for it. I was waiting on them to call me so I could go pick the z and everything else up and start swapping it

There is another from Oklahoma working as an electrical engineer, but schooled as a mechanical engineer. kneeboarder1025.
I'm mechanical by degree, but did some electrical engineer (minor), but now work as a combustion engineer.

Probably in the office part time while developing the logic and documentation, then in the field/shop when wiring/testing/FAT'ing?

Combustion engineers are the ones my grandma always thinks of when she's reminded of my job. They drive trains. They don't have to shovel their own coal these days though; there's refugees for that.

^^^ Hahaha. I'd drive a train, but I don't think they'd pay me enough. I design equipment that burns things. Like incinerators and flares (not road flares, giant lighters on 300ft sticks).
