    That's what I would do if I could reach the lock ring behind the retainer plate. Not sure what I'm missing. Probably what I get for being sober while doing this. :eek:

    This is what I referred to to keep the bulb in place, if I'm understanding you correctly. I have H1s, but there's a retaining clip and so I'm hoping it helps:

    D2s go bulb locked in place, then the metal ring, then the rubber gasket, and then the large locking ring with two notches in it

    trd seat covers, bed mat, tinted windows, debadged, mud flaps removed, tinted tails, blacked out center console, Black Rims, 6000k HID in highs and fogs, blacked out front emblem, Pioneer AVH-4300DVD, Gauge Cluster, lower valence, retrofitted, audio system, Maxtrac Spindles, Billies
    Didnt mean to say retaining clip, was reading about it and last thing I saw was retaining clip.     Thats exactly what I have but still the bulb spins, I found this video and did the same steps but still the bulb spins in the projector whenever I try and take the ballast connector off the bulb

    I've watched that video a few times trying to figure out this lock ring thing. Sorry, guy, don't know what to tell you. :(

    Are you sure it's not the projector spinning, because mine does that. Your bulb can't soon if it's placed onto the notch it's impossible unless you have something in there wrong

    I think I might of had the rubber piece facing the wrong way. Might be the reason, but I had tightened the final locking nut and it was still spinning. Never had a problem like this on my first retrofit, dont know why its doing it now. Ill be able to play with it more tomorrow.

    my retrofit is done; I was lucky enough to have both ballast working at the same time for pictures :) can't wait to get the new one soon…

    Magnetic colour match bezel with black bowl and shroud. 3'' FX-R, XB halo inside.

    Painted all reflectors since i'm using some VLEDS switchback running/turn signals + VLEDS fog light bulbs…

    all i can say is it's bright :D
