    I thought the same thing. But apparently they have so many there trying to get rid of there is no qa\qc before the box is shut and shipped.

    I'm having a little issue with one of my HIDs. Passenger side. 3 times now the bulb randomly went out after being on for a while. If I unplug the bulb plug and plug it back in the bulb will come back on. It doesn't seem like a vibration issue and the plug clicks in tight and is clean.

    The most common problems are;
    1. Bad ground. Check your ground or change to a new location.
    2. Bad ballast. Swap the ballasts and see if the problem follows the ballast.

    So have a question for you guys. I have already acquired a set of FX-R III projectors, and am getting ready to order my shrouds and harness/bulbs. I want to double check that i'll need the H4/9003 setup and my other question is, once my parts come in, and i'm waiting for time/space/not freezing ass temps etc. to retro my housings, can I install the rest of the kit in my factory headlights and just run it as a normal HID kit for the time being? I'm not 100% sure if the FX-R's and stock housings accept the same bulbs.

    If you buy adapters for the bulbs you could.

    But why put hid in a halogen reflector?

    I wonder if a thinner silicon washer could be used

    That's what I'm going to try and find. Maybe just some rubber o rings will work. But as is there is no way to tighten the lock ring enough keep the projector from moving in the housing.

    I don't see why a washer that thick is being used.

    If you look back a few pages the d2s 3.0 now requires grinding of the back plate where the threads come through in order for the nuts to seat all the way

    I think he's trying to find ways around it. I didn't even bother and went ahead and grinded that thing.

    No I already saw that. But that was just some drawing on a picture. No one has actually shown what it looks like post grind. So I'm not just going to grind away and hope to get it right.

    Measure twice cut once.

    Ah I just wanted to make sure. Do you have pics of how much you grinded? Hopefully get mine done here in the next couple weekends. It's just been sitting in the box.

    I'll take some if I beat you to it.

    Awesome. I keep pulling it out holding it in the bowl and putting it back. I just need to break out the grinder and get to it.

    Yea me too. I don't have spare headlights though so mine will have to be done right away.
