Ha. I don't want to buy another set but thanks. Too much money to just use for a little.

I don't think you can adapt a D2S burner into an H4 mount.
And you'd lose high beams... well.. technically, you'd lose low beams, and ANY semblance of a pattern. It would be a shotgun of light.

TRS is a great company. I'd strongly encourage people doing business with them. One of my halos went out and they sent me a brand new pair under warranty both driver side and passenger. The new ones look more bad ass than the last pair installed them this weekend. They are now white instead of yellow when turned off.

I plan to get retrofit someday in the kinda near future. I plan to get the mini H1's and I had a few questions. What wire harness should I get and what size halo? I want to put the halo on the outside if I could. And what's the best way to put it on the outside?

The motocontrol bi xenon h4/9003? And is the recommended halo size for the inside or for the outside?

Also, if you want to retrofit a 2nd gen I wouldn't get mini's the regular shrouds look small enough as it is....

I just heard the H1s are easier. I can do FX-R if it's not much more difficult.

Ah, I thought you were talking about getting mini shrouds, not the H1's theirselves.

I have the D2S kit which is similar to the H1's.

Just be sure to get the regular sized shrouds, as the mini shrouds look too small imo....

I have the Gat 2.0's in my rig and it fills pretty much the whole headlight, give or take a few inches. It would probably fill out the 2nd gen's nicely. I'm sure you could find a user on here with them.

H1's are definitely easier, zero to minimal cutting/sanding required. I had my mom and SO look at my write up and they said they could do it. Now, letting them do a retrofit is another question entirely.

I went with Iris to get the unbroken look of the halo.

Recommended size halo depends in the shrouds. If you go to their website and look under different shrouds, it will tell you what size will fit on the outside and inside. What shroud are you going for?
