Doesn't sound too bad, would you recommend lightly buffing it too?

Would sanding the Apollos 3.0s help? Or just prep as you mentioned with rubbing alcohol and primer? What type of primer should I use? Why would the Apollo shrouds be harder to paint that the others? And what about maybe using plasti dip?

You can always use a scuff pad if you'd like

Plasti dip no. I'd feel uncomfortable with the heat melting/burning. You can sand if you'd like but not truly necessary. Just basic restrulium(how ever its spelled) primer

And would I need to use the primer on the reflectors as well? Or can I just paint hose as they are? I want to do this the right way so all this input if a big help, thanks guys!

Use primer. I did and mine came out great. I like the matte black I used. Take you time let all the paint set in and don't go crazy spraying. If you miss a spot let the paint dry and go over it again. Also bake the parts you paint for like 10-15 min on like 150-170. To treat them. But be sure to watch your parts while doing this. Can never be to sure on what can happen

Well I have a second set of headlights that I will be using for my retrofit. This way I can take my time doing this mod and do it right the first time.

I plan on using some wire for the ones on the face, and havent really thought about what I would be using for the ones inside the shroud, other than maybe some epoxy. Unless you fine folks have some other better ways?

Use .20 copper wire or steel. Don't tighten the wire a lot either. You can damage the halo. For the inside. I have no idea

Im thinking that steel would show less.

And just how warm would the lenses get inside the shrouds? A few little dabs of epoxy should do okay to hold the halos inside the shrouds im thinking.

Yes. Steel would show less but you have to work steel harder. I honestly don't know but I have 55w system and I'm sure they get pretty hot.

For the inside, I used wires. I pinned two very small holes near the corners and tied it to the shrouds. You can't really see it unless you really try to find it.

Or you can do what the retrofitsource did on their DIY

The inside I used aluminum tape like hvac installers used, and a couple little dabs of epoxy.

Also just got my demon eye LEDs installed today :D

where did you mount the LEDS to get the demon eye glow? How many of those did you use to get that effect? And do the LEDs block the beams when your headlights are on?
