    Hey Andrew,

Do you know what the preferred temperature is to open up permaseal headlights? Have found a couple different ranges from 265°F-310(ish)°F

Can't exactly cut them open, they're the old school round headlights with glass lenses.. Same style as the first gens 4x6's. The white sealant.

These are a completely new technology and each ring gets endurance tested before ever being packaged. They run at basically half voltage so heat is eliminated almost. Failure rate of these is on par with the RGBs which has been about 1:3000 right now. :)

Soak them in gasoline for 1-3 days, just enough to cover that seal. They'll open right up. Just know it may eat the chrome reflective surface so plan on painting it.

Me too! My current set up already has some LEDs out.

Well according to Matt, he took a heat gun to it and it survived. We'll see!

So the current white LED rings have a high failure rate? I really don't want to take these apart again later.

Not sure what "version" of the rings you have, but my orange ones were the second versions they started selling and were supposed to be better about failure rate, and they started burning out in less than 4 months. They did look good while they lasted though...

None yet, I want to buy a kit soon. I want mine behind the shroud in the vents so that will help, won't see the dead leds as much.

What shroud? I have mine behind my Apollo 3 shrouds. Like you mentioned, you won't see it until you're up close. The thing that bothers me is color temperature. One looks warmer than the other

High? No. Higher than 1:3000? Yes

You'll hear about an issue 9/10 times. If someone doesn't have any issues, chances are virtually none that they'll speak up. Just unfortunately the way it goes with social media.

    Apollo 3 or maybe Panamera
I understand. I just don't want to have to redo mine..
