Ahh okay. Use a broad flathead screwdriver to pry on the tabs holding the lens holder on. Once all the tabs are pried up gently, the lens holder can slide off.

Once you put the lens holder back on, do NOT over tighten the tabs. You WILL crack the lens.

Goo Gone works great. I just hope it's on the front of the lens!

You have to drill out the rivets to do it. Three on each side of the lens holder.

 

Received my order thanks Andrew! I believe i ordered the control module for the demon eyes. I will have to wait till i get back in town to check. Are the v2 120mm available yet? Also anyone know of a replacement headlight housing that works well with this mod? I would like to buy an extra set and save my oem ones.

 

The only V2 size I know is fully replaced is the 100mm at this time. Others will follow soon.

I'd try to pick up a set of gently used OEM housings on TW for $250-300/set. That's the going rate.

 

Check craigslist. I recently picked up a 2014 in mint condition for $80! He replaced it with some tinted ebay ones now I'm deciding what projectors to get. This group buy(fx-r, cheaper) vs oem and denso ballasts (way more expensive)

 

Looks like I'll be doing some very carful soldering.

I honestly don't know if it was me, or of it came out of the box like that. I'm going to try and fix it today. Worst is o can't have them blink amber I guess.

 

I just finished my new retros on my truck and I wished I would have tested my halos before building them. I always test my customers halos but I was hurrying to get mine done. Once I finished them and hooked them up I see that there are two less out on green function

 

Not sure if this question has been asked, but if I add the standard H1 kit with all the equipment that I want (thats in regulation with the GB rules), would adding a set of XC Led Angel Eyes (the color changing halos) void the group buy code? I can't seem to add them to the universal retrofit kit, so I would have to add them separate from the kit... Just curious if it would void the GB Code for the 25% off. Thanks!

I already did that

 

Pretty happy with my first retro. Bolts holding reflector stripped out so the cut off is low. Should be an easy fix tried the demon eyes, didn't turn out. I am happy though

 

Did you leave wires hanging like that?
