    u need the xsb switchback box and wire that to a ignition on 12v source then wires into the low beam of the head light so its on when the head lights arent. If u went with the dtrl then it would be a blinker also.

    Yeah I think I want it to be a blinker, however, aren't the Dtrls on when headlights are on as well? Might have to just wire to a switch so I can rock them whenever

    mines a 2011 and turns off when the headlights r on. Blinker was too ricey for me so i opted no halos since i didnt want all the extra work. Plus having to pull them when an LED burns out since im OCD.

    worth a try. where is the sand at? U may be able to vacuum one hole and use the compressor on the other and create a loop of suction basically. or shake it out if u take the headlight off.

    read my mind. But also was un aware of first gen headlight holes.....Mine has 3 regular ones.

    I have an 08 so no dtrl. I tapped mine into the wire that goes to the outside bulb by the fender and the blinker wire (yellow) to the inside bulb by the grill. I read someone say the led ring will get too hot if it's on with the headlights on but isn't that how most cars come stock that have halos? I also don't know any other way to do it besides run a switch to the cab but I would never remember to turn them on and off

    in like 5 years when u get time to do them lol. Ya i was gonna do the switch but the OCD in me said dont do them at all since alot of guys have had some burn out and if it was even 1 led i couldnt stand it.

    I'm still rocking their v1 xsb since the day it came out. Works great and much more reliable. I have mine on all day during the day and the switchback function on all night, even with my projectors on. So much better than their crappy COB versions. But I feel yalls pain on opening them up again
