Also, mounted my shrouds with JB Quick Weld. Letting letting everything cure overnight then sealing them up tomorrow.

Last I heard/remember is that switchbacks can run as they are intended (white w/ flashing amber) or run only white or only amber. It just depends on how you wire them up.

So essentially you can get switchback halos and then you don't have to decide. You can just change how they are wired up whenever.

Can anyone else comment on if this is true?

Heads up! ran into a substantial issue tonight trying to install the 4.0 d2s and demon eyes. the bracket for demon eyes on the 3.0 will not work on the new 4.0 and I don't believe their is a bracket available yet. I guess I'll try and modify mine tommorow.

Did you paint your halos? Hard to tell in the pics but they don't look chrome. I thought they all came with a chrome finish.

We should be getting a lot more in by the end of next week! We can't seem to keep them in stock :pout:
You are correct. You can run them White with switchback flashing amber feature or full white or full amber. Depends on how you want them!

That is correct. The current mini d2s 3.0 demon eye bracket only works with mini d2s 3.0s. Brackets for 4.0s will have differnt mounting holes.

I run into this after a week or two and i think that i did sealed them good but seems that i did not. I did use the housing sealant.
The question is, can i fix this without having to open headlights? Or the only way to fix is to reopen them?

Both headlights r the same but one looks wors cause the way i took the picture to show the fog/condensation in themIMG_20161102_131804854_HDR.jpg IMG_20161102_131748107_HDR.jpg

You need to open them up. Let them air out, mount some silica packets in the housing and reseal with morimoto butyl from TRS. Make sure to lay the sealant evenly and aligned in the housing

I dont want to open them again. But if its the only way ill do it.
I did use the sealant from the TRS to reseal them. Maybe i didnt spread it evenly.

I went and ask a few stores for some silica but seems they dont carry that. Seems that only online is where they sell them.
Is there a particular store that do carry them so i can go get them my self?
U think that a couple small packages of silica on each headlight will be enough? Small Like the ones inside a box of brand new shoes.Of course after i do the fix.

Amazon sells em. Or buy a buncha beef jerky!

I saved all the ones that came with my retrofit parts and used them. I added 2 packets in each light.

Last night when I turned my truck on, my driver's side headlight never turned on. I immediately checked all of the wiring and connections, unplugged and replugged the wiring into the ballasts, and reconnected the igniters to the bulbs. Still there was no function. This morning, I rechecked all wiring a second time to no avail. I then swapped the sides that the ballasts were on, and finally they both turned on. I again switched them so that they were back to their original sides and both headlights functioned as normal. Could this be an early sign of a bad ballast?
