2nd gen lights have the vents as well, but I still added the packet for a little peace of mind.

 

So the COB halos came in, was going to return them and order the XSB 3.0 halos, but those are on back order for a few weeks. Ahhh I'm torn on what to do. I have everything else I need to do the retrofit. What do you guys think?

 

Are you doing front and back halos?

 

Doing front, also order the plastic covers for the Halos

 

you can get covers for the Halos? Why?

 

It's up to you but honestly I'd keep the cheaper ones you had. I figured if one of mine burns out, I'd just open up the headlight again as it is really easy. But if you can afford it go with the expensive ones

If they are yellow it makes them appear white when off. I have some for my front ones

How did you mount your fronts?

 

I used thin picture hanging wire. Recommended by TRS. You can also use epoxy if you don't want a wire to show in front

 

When removing the reflector bowl, do the adjustment screws need to be fully backed off? I was going to do that, but the reflector is tilting up into the top of the housing before the screw lets go.

Yes back it all the way out. You have mess with it a lil. You'll have to back one out then the other. You have to back the screws out to be able to pop the black connecter out.

Worked on mine today. Have been waiting on rgb demon eye to finish up. Thanks TRS for the help.

 

Did you have to trim quite a bit off your shrouds?

 

THose look good.

 

Thanks and no I didn't trim them at all, I might have a 1/4 inch gap between shroud and bowl. I also was worried about it. The back nut seems to hold it all together pretty snug. I'm just waiting to bake them and wire up. I'm afraid to f them up in the oven!

 

He didn't have to trim because those are the led panamera shrouds. If you get regular panamera shroud you will have to trim some

 

Alright, got everything need. Halos. Ended up getting sent out, picked up a pair of oem head lights for $60. I'm thinking semi gloss black and clear coat for the bowl, but I can't decide to paint the shroud black or leave it chrome. It's the apollo 3, any opinions?
