There is 4 rubber washers. 2 for h4 headlights (big ones) and 2 for h7 which you don't need. Look up the pdf that afroman is talking about. It shows the order that everything goes in. And as far as wiggling up and down I flipped my h4 adapter ring so that the concaved part is facing away from the projector. The still wiggled up and down a little after tightening the nut so I cut little cardboard shims to put behind the tabs on the metal ring and it worked perfect.

Okay then i guess the up and down is normal lol.

The 4 rubber gasket i have, all look identical in size and they all bevel. So whatever lol
I will put some JB weld on few spots to hold the sucker in and not move.

But the thread on the D2S and the nuts, SUCK!!!

Just like Gear Head said... That one washer type piece that has three prongs that rests on the head light assembly is what gave me problems when it came to tightening everything down. First I stuck it on with the curved side sitting in the head ligh assembly (toward the projector) but after tightening it was very loose. Then I turned it around to where the curved part faced outward. This time after tightening everything was snug and ready to go. I would try turning that piece around because that's probably your issue if the first locking nut won't thread all the way.

Agreed on painting chrome, but thankfully, that mold release residue saved my reflector, as I dropped a glob of JB Weld on it, and didn't notice till it was dry, it just pushed right off!

I also had concerns on the washers. I ended up not using the silicone washer on the back side, between the adapter plate and nut. I also had one projector that wiggled up and down. I ended up just applying pressure on the projector, compressing the silicone washer on the reflector/projector side, and tightening the nut at the same time. This got rid of the wiggle, but was pretty hard to do by myself.

I had to file the inner tab on mine, as it was just a hair too long and wide to fit into the groove in the projector. I could slip it over by hand and down about 3/4 of the way when it got tight, and no amount of tightening the first ring would move it.

I filed enough from the tab so I could just "drop" it all the way to the bottom and it worked great.

I did use the large silicon washer on the inside of the bowl (I had seen recommendations to NOT use it).
