It has pricing, but I thought it was cheaper through the group buy other wise what is the point of having a group buy if I can go on the website and buy for the same pricing? Doesn't make sense to me.

Discount for the GB is 25%, applies only to the complete projector retrofit kits listed in the OP, does not apply to components, plug-in systems, or "VIP" systems.

Having similar issue on the passenger side. Weird thing is I had an eBay hid kit with relay before this and had ZERO issue. Called Trs friday and we determined one ballast is defective. Now the good ballast is on the passenger side and I'm having to turn the headlight switch on and off for it to stay on. I've had change the ground places 3different times. I think it's either bad relay or bulb.. I'll call them Monday and see what they think.. I'm no Hid expert

I am having issues with my lights too, my driver side likes to flicker once or twice quickly and not come on. Turn lights off completely then back on and they both fire and stay on.

No flickering issues or power issues once they both come on, just on start up. This is both with starting the truck with lights in auto position, starting the truck then turning the lights on and turning the lights on with the truck off.

yup same thing here but mine is the passenger side. for sure its not the bulbs, i switched those already..not the grounds, ive changed 3 different spots already...not the ballast, swapped those out too...i saw on hidplanet that about 4 or 5 people had this same issue just last month.
i know TRS will help us out, just bummed ill have to wait who knows how long with the holiday coming up. i would hate to drive a brand new 2013 vehicle and have to get out of the car when i turn the headlights on at night just to see if both are on :notsure:

Well, after a lot of email exchanges, I think that my ground was probably okay in that location, however, I'm glad I moved it to a real ground point anyway.

It is a little weird, but when I swapped the ballasts, I did not seem to notice the flickering, which is why we thought the ground was bad. Maybe it's just that I couldn't see the passenger side very well, as the flickering is a lot easier to see when you are pulled up to a car.

Anyway, I changed the ground, then swapped the ballasts back, and the flicker was still there. They think the ballast is bad, so I'm eventually going to get a replacement, when the weather is a little better.

I was having an ignition issue on the passenger side, and that ballast D2S connector seems loose, compared to the other one. It would only ignite maybe 1 out of 5 tries. TRS suggested to make the center contact smaller. There is a small rubber boot in there, that is yellowish-orange. I pulled that off with needle nose pliers, then you can see a circle of orange plastic in the center, and inside is the contact for the bulb center pin. It is shaped like a "C" with little points on the inside that make contact with the bulb. I then took a small flat blade screwdriver and carefully bent the ends of the "C" shaped contact in a little more towards the center, so that it makes the semi-circle tighter (thus, it should make a tighter contact with the bulb pin).

So far, it's only been a couple days, but I haven't had an ignition failure yet. I'm going to wait a few more days before I cut the cable on the other ballast, to get it replaced, just to make sure the other one is reliable.

So that might be an option for you guys if you are having ignition issues.

It could be that that center contact gets play in it if you connect and disconnect the bulb connector very many times. I only connected each one about half a dozen times when doing the initial work and testing, but maybe that was enough. I'm hoping its fixed.

That contact is one to watch. I've seen pics on HID Planet where poor contact has resulted in burned sockets and bulb bases.
Poor contact will result in arcing which will erode the contacts and burn the plastic.

I'm not trying to say anything about TRS, but I think in general, the D2S electrical contact design is pretty horrible. It just seems like there are too many weak points that come together to create a disaster. You got a circular contact design, along with tiny alignment tabs that are easy to break off… Just seems like Phillips (if that's who designed it) could have come up with something better.

With that said, has anyone compared a TRS D2S connector to a Denso? I'm just curious if they are similar in design or not.

D2S is one of the industry standard connectors used in OEM Xenon systems.
